November to be “Duran Duran Month” at Sirius…
OK, trying to make up for my embarassing last post…
Sirius has announced that Duran Duran will be a featured artist during November with a slew of special programming across a number of channels.
Highlights include:
- A Takeover of Super Shuffle for 3 days (11/13-15) as “Red Carpet Radio”
- Track-by-track discussion of their new album on the Pulse (Today)
- A one-hour career introspectective on First Wave.
- The band playing some of their favorite songs on Big 80’s daily at noon.
There will also be Punk and Reggae specials hosted by the band.

That is the funniest thing I've ever read in this forum. Thanks! by onehandle
Elvis Radio is the only single-artist station that makes sense to me. Not because of the size of his catelog, or his enduring influence (which we could argue all day about), but because of the marketing oportunity. Million of fans visiting Graceland each year, all standing in long lines, listening to Sirius equals subscriptions before they load back up into the RV to head home. If you told me that Elvis Radio drove 100,000+ new subs every year, I wouldn't be surprised. If E-Street AND the Dead channel drive 100,000 new subs once, I'd be amazed. by RoadRunner
