SIRIUS and XM Extend Merger Agreement

WASHINGTON and NEW YORK, Feb 29, 2008 — XM Satellite Radio and SIRIUS Satellite Radio today announced that the companies have agreed not to exercise their rights to terminate the Merger Agreement until May 1, 2008.

    makes me wonder if they (regulators) were stalling this decision so the deadline passed and one would back out of deal so both sides wouldn't have to waste more time and money being wrapped up in lawsuits.
