*Bing’s special day has always been celebrated a day early due to a long-standing family tradition. His younger sister’s birthday was ALSO May 3, so to give his sister her own ’special day’, Bing’s was traditionally celebrated on May 2. Following Bing’s lead, RadioClassics will celebrate his birthday May 2nd.

  1. I have wondered what the May 2/May 3 confusion was about Crosby's birth my entire life. This is the first place I have seen it explained. Thanks. I have a tribute post for him at my place. http://www.mapeel.blogspot.com
