Default BBC WS on Sirius not "real" BBC

I am new to satellite radio and have had Sirius for one week. I was suprised to find that the BBC World Service feed that Sirius streams is DFFERENT from the XM feed, this according to the BBC web site. The BBC list their XM service as "BBC World Service" and list the Sirius feed as "BBC World Service All News". The Sirius feed does not carry the drama and music programs and instead insert some repeats of news programs.

While I mainly listen to the BBC WS for their news items it would be nice to get the "real" BBC with their occasional music programs.

That's the way it's always been. Personally, I don't miss the British Top 10 but John Peel is good and eclectic. There are many other offerings on Sirius that more than make-up.

Try WRN, PRI and Amigo.

It's nice being able to hear Newshour at different times.

Is Newshour repeated by the beeb or is it Sirius doing the repeats? Yes, John Peel would be nice, it would have been nie to hear some of the WS' Glastonbury broadcast.

BBC World Service News is an official BBC World Service stream. Sirius does no editing, except for a 5 second ID over the time pips.

They aren't strictly all news. When the BBC did it's 75th Annversary party, BBCWSN carried all the festivities.

Here's the News schedule:

John Peel is one of the reasons I also have XM.

My computer has no speakers. Those stupid Microsoft noises make me insane.

The Home Service is run by terrorists anyway. (I heard it on Fox News, it must be true).
