Listening to Harrison on the Edge tonight (rebroadcast from 10am est) I have been hearing many words beeped out. This is the first time I have ever heard this after 2 months of listening. Does anyone know what has changed? They don't usually use a lot of profanity and it doesn't bother me to hear it but it is quite distracting hearing the beeps.
That doesn't make sense since this is supposed to be uncensored radio. The comedy channel would be beeping all the time if they censored that. Maybe they are experimenting with beeping live broadcasts for other reasons and it's just a test.
I can't believe that they would be doing this now!!
I've heard all sorts of explicit words on OutQ, and I love it!
All of the guests on the show from other media companies say that they love it as well, and they wish they could speak the same way.
Part of pay-radio is the ability not to be censored.
Do you know if it was curse words that were beeped out? Was it something considered slanderous against another company? Sometimes they will censor/cut-out those things if their legal department informs them that they 'can't do that'.
I am nearly possitive that they were curse words. Used for the F word and other words for penis. I will try to contact Cary or Angelique today and see if they know anything about it. I wasn't listening very carefully at the time but the beeping was getting my attention. It started at the begining of the show and wasn't a continuing gag or something.

That is strange, would be even stranger not to hear the 7 deadly words. Maybe its only on rebroadcasts? Or they cant curse till a certain time olf day?
I don't listen to OutQ, and I'm not familiar with the programs. I'm not sure if the programs are or aren't broadcast on Sirius exclusively or not. Perhaps the shows are recorded and censored so they can be broadcast somewhere else, and that's what was heard. I'll admit it too, but many love to hear cursing. It's like being a kid, and hearing someone cuss. You're not used to it, and it's entertaining. It's the same with everyone and regular radio/television. We're not used to it and love it. Hopefully Sirius doesn't go censored!
Harrison has a beeper sound in the studio ... Its a gag he does on the show when they have to bleep each other out cause they are going to far ... Its just for fun :-)

I think this would make the most sense because I did hear the F word one time during this beeping.
Why do I have this vision of Harrison reading this thread and laughing hysterically at the top of his lungs, hitting the beeper now and then, then laughing some more.
