Default Octane at night

Anyone else listen at night? I get the feeling not many of us do. I say this because there is this schmuck of a DJ on at night that I would think others would have commented about by now.

For instance, the other night the guy was talking about Alien Ant Farm's new album, Truant, and he could not pronounce that word! He stumbled over it a few times before calling it Traunt.

And then a few minutes earlier he informed us all, after playing the new Korn song, which is played on Octane probably three or four times a day, that the new Korn song was off of the Tombraider 2 soundtrack. But he's wrong. It is not off the Tombraider 2 soundtrack. The song is in the film, but not on the actual soundtrack. Instead it will be released on Korn's new upcomming album.

My gripe is basically if you are going to interupt my music with your babbling, then please at least know what you are talking about, otherwise shutup and just let the music do the talking.

I understand that most of the information they're giving us comes up on their computer after certain songs are played, which annoys me even further considering this fella apparently can not even read.

I don't really care what the DJ wants to ramble about for the few seconds between songs... I care A WHOLE LOT about the fact that Octane only plays, like, 10 songs over and over and over and over and over and over...

YES! This is what I'm saying. That, and some of their selection is a bit off for the theme. Wake Up Sirius! Your fanbase is near revolt! Change your ways or we may be forced to change ours!

Hey FithElement, do you think you could make your point without profanity. It's offensive and is really not necessary.

And as far as my words go, I'll be the judge of what is and what is not necessary. If I deam it necessary to express myself in such a manner, you damn well better believe I will.

It's gotten me this far in life, so I must be doing something right.

I also have the right to say I'm offended. Since it was about the 4th message in a row I read from you with profanity, I felt compelled to say something. Your trash mouth may have got you where you are today but while I'm in the room you can listen to my response. Call me what you will, but this forum has been for the most part profanity free and most are sensitive enough to at least use letter substitution. I'll leave it to the moderators to determine what is acceptable, or not.

I posted the same response to his potty mouth in another thread I happened to read first.

It IS up to the moderators, but I see NO reason why gratuitous use of the f word for sheer shock value should be a given here. If it is, I, for one, will move on to other pastures.

Well it seems to me that if Ryan wants to bark at a couple of us ole buddies having a nice little debate, then he should certainly call this joker down for the filth. He use to do this on ClubXM too and they never did a thing about it. I get excited about making my points, but the cursing it just not necessary. I know several young children that read these forum, but do you think he cares? No, not at all long as he can have his way. He is never satisfied, If I were so unhappy with Sat Radio, I'd sell my equipment and go back to CD's and FM.

We're all adults here, but I would appreciate it if we could make our points without the use of profanity.

Thanks Jeff, I really appreciate that, I know Interpreter and manco do too. Like you said we are all adults, but that does not mean younsters don't come in here to read up on Sat Radio. After all this is a family thing. Granted you can't protec them from it all, but we can do our best.

If one cannot make their point or argument without using profanity frequently, it shows a true lack of ability to communicate and persuade. This isnt an adult site, and there are those who do not care for that sort of vocabulary...make your point, you might get more support if you logically express yourself rather than throwing out words that really have nothing to do with the topic at hand. IMHO

Octane isn't that repetative. I listened to it all day saturady and sure i heard the same songs twice over the course of 5 or 6 hours big deal. You have to play the top songs and fill them with the less popular songs. Listen to the radio and they will play those same songs once an hour.

I agree with you, however I find it extremely ironic that censorship is promoted on a message forum that supports a service (Sirius) that brags about it's anti-censorship.
