Default My Success with a Request

I placed a request for an artist that I hadn't heard on a channel in the 6 weeks since I had been listening, and just recently I heard two different songs from this artist in two days. So requests appear to be working, but unless you listen 24/7, you may not catch it. Other songs I requested that were already scheduled, they responded and told me in which hour I could hear it.

So keep the requests flowing in. Actually I placed my first request before I subscribed and they asked me what hour to play it in and what channel, and just the other day I heard that song in that hour on that channel

I was also successful with a request last week on The Doo Wop Drive-In. It was a song I hadn't heard since CBS-FM cancelled The Doo Wop Shop last summer. I figured it would take a couple of weeks to get it on, if at all, but it only took just a few days after my e-mail. Another selling point for Sirius! Of course, the other side of me thinks 'How long can this last?'

I usually make multiple requests on Big Rock 23. Not only do they always play the request ,they go on to play a number of other songs by the same artist.I can only speak for Big Rock 23 and while they are awesome I can only hope all of the other Stream Jockeys are just as responsive to thier subscribers.

My requests are played and responded to both in email form and on the air on Heart&Soul and Soul Revue, also recently 60s Vibrations and Movin EZ too. No problems there...

Default How long does it usually take?

I requested an older Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Ballad of Curtis Lowe" on The Vault stream 16 last evening. I followed up with a secong request about an hour and a half later. I got the email confirms. But, after about 3 hours I hadn't heard the request played. I guess they were busy, it was Saturday night. How long does it usually take to hear the request?

It can take several days. This can be the good part about Sabo: they stress interactivity with the listeners. We might soon get request lines to call.

Same day requests are important because you don't know when it's going to be played for sure. I recommend when you put in a request, let them know what range of hours you usually listen, so at least you have a better chance of hearing it.
