Actually, Street Beat should not be edited. Contact Sirius if you hear edited materials on there.

The only streams that should be edited at all are US-1 & The Pulse.

I never knew Streat beat was edited. Streat beat and Hip-Hop Nation are my two most listened to streams.

The diffrence is Streat Beat is more like a top forty rap stream. While Hip-Hop nation plays new stuff but also cuts in freestyles and older late 90s raps.

Sirius's definition:

40 Hip-Hop Nation -The raw, uncensored jointz. The mics are open with an ear to the vibe on the streets from today’s rap masters.
Artists: Scarface, Dilated Peoples, N.O.R.E., Afu-Ra, Mobb Deep, J-Live, Eve, Iron Clad, Ike Dirty, Archie Eversole, Jaz-O and many more.

44 Street Beat All rap, all the time. The 24/7 showcase for today’s biggest rap hits.
Artists: Fat Joe, Eminem, Big Tymers, Petey Pablo, Bubba Sparxxx, Trick Daddy, Jay-Z, Nelly, P. Diddy, Cam’ron, Mr. Cheeks, Khia

Street Beat is unedited. There may be a few censored tracks every now and then, but they shouldn't be played.

Street Beat is more mainstream Urban Top 40 whereas Hip-Hop Nation explores the genre a little deeper...more mixes and raw tracks. They do overlap to some extent.

Hot Jamz is also very good lately. It plays a nice blend of older Rap Top 40 from 2001 & 2002, plus today's hits and a few slower tracks.

Wax is another great stream, featuring Mix Tapes and underground scratching by the hottest DJs.

I think Urban and Dance are Sirius' strongest genres of music.

You know my first three pre-sets are Streat Beat, Hip-hop nation, and Wax. And never once in my 7 months of having Sirius have I listend to Hot Jamz. I seen it as R&B and I am not a big fan of that. I just Rap. But I just might check it out.

I know they should all be uncensored, but I've noticed numerous times a song on Street Beat censored. I'll hear the same song on Hip Hop Nation to be uncensored. Hopefully they are fixing this.

I used to never listen to Hot Jamz, but it's been jammin lately.

They've definitely made it edgier with less soft slow jams.

I agree. In my experiences the ONLY completely uncensored channels are Hip Hop Nation, Octane, and Alt Nation. I've heard edited stuff on everything else. It is a real disappointment cause when I find a song I love on 44, im all like psyched up and stuff, so I crank it up.... then you get to the edited stuff... Makes me feel like I'm 11 y/o and mommy didn't let me buy the dirty version of the CD :\
