Galaxy NationExplore the other side of the universe. Discuss AM/FM, XM, DISH, DirecTV, HD Radio, and all mp3 players. Here you can also discuss the ins and outs of tomorrow's radio technology...where music and satellites collide. Who said it's not rocket science?!?
And we can't even quantify in numbers how much better this site is in terms of being a true community.
The peeps here, from posters to moderators to administrators to even lurkers do a fantastic job of making this the entertaining, educational, eclectic and uplifting place this is.
I checked around for information on Satellite Radio and on clubXM before I made the decision last Christmas to get SIRIUS. After I got the service I've learned more about the technology, the company, and its loyal fans here on SiriusBackstage than anywhere else.
Being a moderator myself on an unrelated site, I find that having an active forum with both intelligent and well mannered members is the key to its growth and popularity in its respective field. Plus, it makes my job easier! Thanks to Jeff and to everyone that helps make it a reality and a success!
Sirius has 105,186 subscribers at end of second quarter with 2,374 Backstage members = 2.2% of Sirius community
XM has 692,253 subscribers at end of second quarter with 6,379 XMfan members = 0.9% of XM community
XM is bigger, be we are closer!
Way to go BACKSTAGE Family!
have you taken into account people that posts as guests/register that never post (or don't post on a regular basis) and multiple XM/sirius/clubxm/xmfan/backstage accounts?
Make that cannot. And cannot according to Mrs. Grundy. Obviously you can, as the poster just did.
Besides, it is not good form to argue grammar with Professor Dave, who is a real live professor of all things profound. Bad karma may very well result. And some darn <PROFESSION DELETED> may get into a philosophical argument about the right vs. the power and bore everyone into tears. <Now those of you who DO know what I do know I am quite capable of doing just that!>
Stuffy, stuffy rules. Like those that govern commercial radio?
Just a little food for thought on a Tuesday morning.
The preceding message was brought you in good fun and should be taken by the gentle reader in the spirit in which it was intended. No puppies or dogs were harmed during its composition. I hope.
