Default sat.radio.weblogger.com better SatRadio news than Backstage?

I stopped reading sat.radio.weblogger when I found Sirius Backstage. Not anymore. Sirius Backstage latest news, as of today, is June 23rd!!

I got so sick of waiting for updated news, that I decided to check back in at sat.radio.weblogger and they are smoking Backstage for up-to-date news content.

Wake up Backstage! You are leaving us in the dark!

Yep, the news on the front page is stale.

The content management system that runs the news is separate from the forum software, and I am in the process of migrating it over.

In the next few weeks, the front page will change and the news headlines and forum will be more tightly integrated.

Every news release pertaining to Sirius can be found in one of our many forums, but I know it's still nice to just scan the headlines though.

Please stay tuned.

Jeff

True. The forums are a great source of news.

Truth is, I really like this site, but was surprised to see the other site getting so much scoop. I look forward to the new updates to the front page. I think those will hook a lot of new users who do not dig to deep when they first click in.

Thanks.

Looks to me about 95% of the news on that site is XM based. I guess if your interest is XM or just Sat Radio in general its all good. But there are events and news listed on SIRIUS.com that for some reason isn't even showing up on that web site.

I will take some heat for this too.
I was updating for a while, but I stopped because I have my favorites for this site pointing to the forum itself.. So I stopped seeing the main page and forgot about the News! lol

Let's see what Jeff has up his ever-so-creative sleeves though!

I get most of my news from
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SIRI&d=v1

Since I can check my Spam account and get XM and Sirius news all the better.

Do a new count, because on the current home page I count 10 articles with XM in the headlines and 6 articles with Sirius in the headlines. I think the mix of articles is directly related to the number of recent news articles in the general news sources for each company. The current WSJ list of articles for SIRI and XM show me a similar mix.

You are correct that the author may miss some articles that Backstage has, but that could be because of the sources he uses. I don't think there is a bias to the site, because if you read his bio he sounds like the site is more of an academic exercise as opposed to propaganda for his favorite sat radio company.

Being that I favor Sirius, I also favor Backstage because I like the "propaganda". I think this site be even better when it's the best source for news as it currently is for the forums, etc.
