SIRIUS RockThe top tracks from the legends of rock n' roll, along side Underground, Alternative and Metal styles...all served up with the deepest Blues and the roots of Reggae.
They are adding wimpy stuff like Eric Clapton, John Fogerty, Fleetwood Friggin' Mac, etc. Doesn't fit in with Foghat and AC/DC too well. The emphasis is shifting.

I like the ROCK! Along with Eric Clapton and the others you mentioned. Perhaps they are programming this stream just for me.! But ast least I am not whining, complaining, pissing and moaning about it. Par for the course for some folks it seems.
Because Classic Rock is a format that doesn't include wimpy crap from Eric Clapton and Fleetwod Mac which is fine on 18 and 25 and all the other channels that play that kind of stuff.
Classic Rock does not include new tunes by the burnt to a crisp Allman Brothers Band.

Sounds good to me, I hope they keep it up. Too bad, you aren't satisfied with it, but then you allow your expectation to rule over you and don't seem to be very satisfied with much of anything.
So there you have it. SIRIUS seems to program for the masses not just a select few. which is the way it should be, like it or not. Most of us are satisfied subscriber that understand SIRIUS isn't perfect and probably never will be, especially if they try to live up to every single persons expectation. I seem them as trying to hit the middle of the road on most streams, which is unfortunatly, make for like you, whine and complain constantly. But such is life!!! Your complains have become like the little boy who cried woof!!

Actually, classic rock does include Clapton, Joel, fleetwood Mac, Elton John, etc. And to the Allman Brothers comment, here is what they define The Rock as at sirius.com

It doesn't say the legendary tracks, it says top(as in popular) tracks from the people of the classic rock era. It is a classic rock stream, with newer tracks from the big rock guys thrown in.
Theses masses of which you speak are not so homogenous.
Sirius is in the narrowcasting business. Niche programming for small audiences. That was the original idea. The logical conclusion of what is happening now is FM without commercials. I will not pay for that.

The focus has changed, in favor of the wimpy. It was better a month ago, even with the occasional Bob Seger.

I like the mix on The Rock. I think many people have wider tastes than you Rickets. I don't mind listening to AC/DC and Bob Seger/Fleetwood Mac/Eagles etc. on the same channel. Even when you listen to a CD from Kiss they have the "Beth" song or "Love Hurts" from Nazereth. Do you consider those songs to fit on "The Rock"? Also I notice a big difference between programming during the Mornings and Afternoons/evenings on The Rock.
I have the distinct feeling that were SIRIUS to program to Rickets' unique tastes, the only subscriber would be . . . Rickets. Who may or may not even pay!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. They could call the stream "The Rickets" and he would be satisfied to be the only one satisfied.

No, No guys.. he would only be satisfield for the today... remember tomorrow is a new day. He'd then find something to complain about. The sound is bad, they added one song that wasn't right for the mix, the jingle didn't jang just right. You know the list goes on... LOL
