I've been sending Sirius e-mails for a while telling them they need a real 90s channel!
Look at XM...they now have their own website for their 90s channel. www.90son9.com
90s music is a huge draw for the 18-35 age range that grew up on it and tend to be early adopters of new technology!
From my July 17th e-mail to Sirius:
"Another station that gives XM the edge in Pop programming is their 90s channel. I understand that The Pulse contains 90s songs, but there really isn't a stream on Sirius that encompasses all of the hits of the 90s...from Rap/Hip-Hop to Pop and Rock. For 18-35 year olds, the 90s channel could be a huge draw and differentiating factor between the two services."

I totally agree with everything youi said. We NEED I-90 back!!

Yeah I can't believe they got rid of I-90... who do we send email to, to let them know what we want to hear? How many suscribers did Sirius have when they pulled I-90? <100k? Seems early in the life of the channel lineups to pull such a seemingly popular channel

I-90 was sacrified before we had a chance to fight for it. It was announced one morning that it would be gone by the end of the day.
I imagine some of the programming execs had their head in the sand. This is bread of butter of the 18-24 generation.
I suggest then after this weekend is over we mount a write in campaigned as we did on the repeats issue and let our voices be heard. Calling in, emailing and snail mail. We want a 90's stream and we want the repeats dropped to a very minimal level and you proved this past weekend that you can do it SIRIUS... Cause this is some kind of sweet. We all knew these decades had the tunes for there not to be all these repeats, now they need to just continue it, beyond the weekend and make this everyday SIRIUS. XM wouldn't stand a chance if that was the case... JM2C
My weekend is complete, The Pulse just played this...
US-1 and Backspin have been great as well, spinning greats such as Digital Underground, Rob Base, Freak Nasty and Snoop Dogg. The Beat has been covering the dance side of the 90s. The programmers should take a bow.
But now that we know how good it can be, there's no going back to the repetitious no-90s wasteland. There is no way I can wait until the next holiday comes around. How far away is that, six months?
This weekend proves that I-90 must make a comeback! Take the the best of the 90s from each of the respective genres (ska, rap, dance, pop hits and alt rock) and smash them together.
I heard Barbie Girl on The Pluse. But I just turned XM on becasue MTV has a live Coldplay concert going on. I agree we need I90 back. The programming has been awesome this weekend. Hats off to the programmers. Now lets see if we can get them to be this way all of the time.

Clearly they need to bring back I90. That channel appeals to such a large group of people.
But the question is what channel should they sacrifice for that?
A Jazz Channel? A Rap Channel? A Dance Channel?
I would argue that the 90s channel would have a bigger audience than any other channel they would have to delete.
Here are some suggestions I have....
Get Rid of (Back-Spin) Stream 43- because some of those songs will be on I90 and revise Streams 40 and 44 to include some of the songs from 43. As it is now, I am confused about the true difference between 40 and 44.
Get rid of one of the Dance channels. I know that Sirius' dance line-up is much better than XM's but they have several more channels than XM does. I think we could sacrifice one.
