WASHINGTON, and TROY, Mich., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio, Inc. (Nasdaq: XMSR), the nation's number one satellite radio service, and Delphi Product & Service Solutions, part of Delphi Corporation (NYSE: DPH) and a pioneer of in-vehicle entertainment and electronics, will provide the first all portable satellite radio -- the SKYFi "boombox" Audio System and a free year of XM service -- to all celebrity guests, presenters and nominees backstage at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) this Thursday, August 28, 2003.

MTV Satellite Radio, XM Channel 25, will be in the house at NYC's Radio City Music Hall to talk to show participants during rehearsals for the VMAs on Wednesday, August 27, the day before the big show. Coldplay, Lil Jon, Queens of the Stone Age, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Navarro and many more will be stopping by. On Thursday, the "Biggest Night in Music" kicks off on XM at 6:00 p.m. E.D.T. as MTV Satellite Radio broadcasts from the red carpet during the MTV News Opening Act performances. MTV Satellite Radio's live simulcast of the 2003 VMAs can be heard on XM Channel 25 starting at 8 pm E.D.T., featuring live performances by Beyonce, Metallica, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Good Charlotte, Coldplay and Christina Aguilera, and appearances by Britney Spears, Sean Paul, Mya, Avril Lavigne, Pharrell, Pamela Anderson, P. Diddy, Ashanti, Kelly Clarkson, Evanescence, and more.

Delphi and XM teamed up less than a year ago to introduce the Delphi XM SKYFi( TM) receiver, a stylish and portable unit that provides the most advanced user features of any satellite radio on the market today. Since its launch last October, Delphi has sold more than 350,000 receiver units to retailers, making it the best selling satellite radio in its class. Attractive radios like Delphi's SKYFi(TM) system and compelling programming from exclusive partners like MTV Radio are responsible for placing industry leader XM in a position to surpass 1 million subscribers this fall on its way to ending the year with at least 1.2 million subscribers.

Backstage at the show, all presenters, performers and nominees with be given a certificate for a SKYFi boombox ($229.99 MSRP) that provides the flexibility to take XM anywhere at all. The boombox contains a pair of high- quality speakers with an integrated high gain antenna and a port for the SKYFi receiver. It can be powered by an A/C adaptor to create a high quality countertop/ bookshelf XM system for the home or office, or used with six "D" batteries to experience XM in virtually any location.
