I need a Top 10 list of what's bad about FM radio. Or even a Top 20, as many as it takes.

Post away, offer as many suggestions as you'd like. Once everyone comments we'll compile the list.

Try to make it short and sweet. Example...

1) Commercials
2) Static
3) Clown jocks

You'll see what this is for eventually.

-limited genres

-limited playlists

-too localized(as in can't be heard nationally)

-No news when I want it
-Only news when I want to hear music
-No country in NYC, no opera in East Overshoe
-LOUD commercials, sirens, cellphone noises--all whilst driving
-No oldtime shows like The Green Hornet
-can't pick up London, The BBC!
-No gay talk radio
-No classic country, fifties music, adult standards
-The fun is gone

I think you guys have covered most of them. Here's a few to add though!

No Dance!
Very Little children's programming (to keep the little ones occupied in the car on long trips)
Late-night shows that are syndicated around the country, so that many stations in the same markets are playing the same music. (Haven't seen that one mentioned before!)

I'll add more later if I think of them.

Lame DJ banter
Stupid contests
Not only the same music, but the same commercials over and over ...
Weather every five minutes (and they are 90% wrong)
...... and the thing I HATE MOST ----- REMOTE BROADCASTS.
