Homepage loads slow...

Why is the homepage so slow to load? It takes about 10 seconds on my machine that has broadband. Cashing doesn't appear to help.

I have been unable to reproduce the problem. I am on InsightBB.com Cable Modem access and don't have the problem in IE or Mozilla.

I do notice that the top button section loads 1st and then the rest of the info loads about 1 second later.

Actually, strangely enough, I have found the site to be loading faster than usual today!

Very very slow here and I have broadband on 2 computers.

I get the menu bar right away but the rest takes awhile to load. I've tried it on two different computers with IE, and there for awhile it wasn't loading at all.

Under some circumstances, the javascript that pulls the news and recent posts will be slow.

Working on making it zippy for everyone.

Okay, this morning, for me, ALL pages at this site are taking up to 10 seconds to load. It is not the javascript, it is the page itself. Every other site responds normally.

Frequently, only the banner and dog animation load, then it is another 7-10 seconds before the rest of the page loads.

I am running broadband here, with 1450 down and 135 up and this hasn't happened to me before. It's really annoying!

Wonder what's up?

Well, not only is it loading slowly now, but several times in the last few days it has quit responding at all, then when it does all posts are marked read. It has done this from several computers, and not always during peak times.

What's up with that?

I have the exact same problem using broadband, banner and dog only for about 20 seconds.

I don't know what has changed but all is much better now.

Hopefully due to a change, and not just a happy coincidence, though I will take that as long as it lasts!
