SIRIUS RockThe top tracks from the legends of rock n' roll, along side Underground, Alternative and Metal styles...all served up with the deepest Blues and the roots of Reggae.
Octane is playing like classic rock in their playlists occasionally, (Zepplin, Iron Maiden), and Alt Nation is playing like 311 and Green Day in their playlists... Anyone have any idea why things seem to be gettin all jumbled around, and has anyone else noticed it?
I, for one, find the stale categories of Sirius (and XM) streams to be artificial and needlessly confining. Even Organic Rock has a certain confines within which some tunes fit, others obviously do not.

While I agree with you, playing 80's metal on a Modern Rock stream isn't the right way to do it. There is an entire world of new modern rock I see on Mtv every day that I have -NEVER- heard on AltNation or Octane... and that's just pathetic. Add new music to the new rock station, but don't mix in music from other streams to breakup the mind-numbing repitition!
Exactly, there's other music in the genre that you can play, like maybe some 'Tallica or Linkin Park, or even Fuel songs that aren't singles. Hell, and probably better, the programmers should turn on some other music source to find bands you just aren't playing yet. You can expand the playlist without dilluting the content. Like for Octane they could play The Used - Blue and Yellow, it is getting tons of radio play here in NY, and yet I have yet to hear it on Sirius.
