Default STARLITE (GREAT)

I"ve been listening to Starlite a good bit today. Its really been good and the repeats have been very, very minimal. I am loving this. Way to go Dog.... You get one Doggie Treat!

I am looking forward to the Friday Night Love Songs too. We just got a new bowling center here. We talked the manager into getting SIRIUS. He already had XM. He promised us Friday Night from 9 PM till Midnight they will be playing Starlite, while we bowl. All couples are going to be feeling lovey dovey when they leave Friday Night!

You shall have to let us know how SIRIUS does at the alleys. Let's hope it bowls them over! We wouldn't want to see such a chance for exposure strike out.

(I'll be leaving now. Thanks for use of the room. Mad Mickey, coming up next...)

Enquiring minds (who were busy doing other things at the time) want to know, did they play your dedication?? Did it get the results you hoped for?

Yup!! They read my whole email story I sent in and dedicated the song to her. But it was kinda the final chapter in the book with her so Faith Hill's There You'll Be closed the book.
DAB: Did you hear it when you were at the bowling alley?

I was bowling and it was loud in there. But I do think I heard it, I think they even said what he had wrote in the dedication as I recall.

I really enjoyed the evening with the love songs, that was really nice. The folks at the bowling alley really was digging it. I of course was telling them it was SIRIUS Sat Radio and how to go about getting it for themselves. I even brought in my P&P to show it to them.

Sorry to hear that is the closing chapter in the story... No worse feeling in the world.

DAB, think the owner would display a sign at the bowling alley, 'You're listening to Sirius Satellite Radio'.

Or perhaps a decal on the door.

Thanks. It is a very bad feeling. I just wanted to let her know that she'll always have a place in my heart and the song accomplished that.

Jeff, I did indeed ask him and he said he would put up a poster and a decal if I could get it for him. I contacted SIRIUS, but someone is suppose to call me. But you know I've asked for posters and decals before and no one returned a call to me. So, if you have access to someone that would send it to me. I know he would be more than glad to put it up.

It was certainly a sweet thing to do on your part, so I hope she heard it and appreciated it.

Dabster, are you saying they used your radio to pipe music in the bowling alley or they had their own?

Yes Starlight is one of my regular streams I tune into. They have been changing it since I started listening. THey used to play very little modern songs, now they are mixing more modern songs in and it all works for me. So I tune in The Pulse, Starlight, The Rock, The Trend and Spirit as my most frequented streams.

No he has his own system. They actually have both XM and SIRIUS. He orginally only had XM, but then I told him. Do you really want to pipe in commercials. He didn't even know about SIRIUS. Soon as he found out he got it. He and his wife actually danced a couple of times when certain love songs came on. People were freaking out, because its a bowling alley. But before the night was over several couples danced. It was great!

What a thread!

KHill, you are a class act.

And I would have loved to have seen that bowling alley that night! Sounds like the beginning of a novel by Tom Robbins!

I hope she heard it too. I told her to listen around 9:40. She doesn't have Sirius, but I gave her a link to the on line listening for stream 3. Oh well.
