With all due respect, OutQ does not come close. I do listen and it is all testosterone.
I am a former Pacifica Program Director who had both a Gay program and a Lesbian program in the schedule. I think I know what the difference is, thank-you very much.

I kind of like listening to Romaine Patterson. I have the least knowledge of this area, so I cant really comment.
I have listened to the other shows afternoon, it does seem to be mostly males and things like sticking the mic in their mouth or having JGF hair. Before noon or abouts is like replaying of audio clips from different poltical people and their views on homosexuality. At least that day I tuned in early a few times. I usually listen to 146 if its a repeat of the dave ramset show, King Dude, then I flip to the comedy channel, outq and bounce around till I find something i like.
Everybody on there is likeable enough (except maybe the mid-day guys who seem really uptight). It just seems that instead of 12 hours (and all weekends) of repeats they could have some more diverse programming.
Sirius always brags about all the cash they have, but they seem totally unwilling to spend any of it on programming.
When I'm in a ''talk'' mood, I listen to 149, 145 and 144 on a rotating basis. I'll listen to one until the commercials start then change channels. Of course top of the hour, I'm on 114 for the news.

As the subscriber count approaches 1 million, we'll likely see a 24/7 programming philosophy. Right now we have chicken/egg syndrome. You need fresh programming to get subs, but the cash burn will be immense.
They'll never get to a million the way they're going.
A stupid 20 million dollar race car that is lucky to finish a race and more hours of re-runs than original programming on the talk channels.

If I own Sirius, I probably will not listen to the shows that have gay men since I am not gay.
My theory why there's hardly any lesbians on the shows is because most guys will tend to buy Satellite Radio instead of women.
So they decided to add only gay males in it.
But you are right Rickets, they should add some lesbians in it since lesbians tend to be more like tom boys and they will end up buying guys stuff like tools.
Lesbians buy guy stuff like tools? Well, yes, some do. But others wear frilly dresses, have figures like Brittany Spears and act like your Aunt Louise. You can't tell a lesbian (or a gay male) with 100 percent accuracy by appearance, rumors of gaydar to the contrary notwithstanding.
I know you mean well, but lesbians (and gay people) look and act (for the most part) like your next door neighbors. They may very well BE your next door neighbors. Or your doctor, plumber, piano tuner or paper boy.
The people who act like gay stereotypes are entitled to do so, but they sure don't help the rest of the gay community to be accepted.
By the way, OutQ has a large audience of straight people. Especially during programs like Derek and Romaine. Much of the programming, though of interest to gay people, is not of interest ONLY to gay people.
Both I and my friends listen to OutQ a lot. I have learned a lot from it. Give it a listen. You might be pleasantly surprised....or not.
And 100 streams means you can easily switch to something else!
