Default Sirius To Be House Of Blues Foundation Room Music Provider

I've been to the Foundation Room in New Orleans and it is one wicked club. You'd swear you were in one of the richest oriental Palaces. They host the clientel that Sirius wants.

Sirius and House of Blues announced that the satcaster will be the exclusive music provider at all HOB Foundation Room locations, including Hollywood, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Chicago.

The Foundation Room will make all 60 of Sirius’ commercial-free music streams available to their members in the club's private dining rooms.

“Providing the Foundation Room members with our premium entertainment service accentuates the value we can provide any business, including one of the most elite in the entertainment industry," said Sirius Executive Vp/Marketing Mary Pat Ryan. “Partnering with organizations such as the House of Blues provides Sirius with access to some of the entertainment industry's movers-and-shakers and allows us to bring our listeners closer to the music industry.”

Foundation Room locations will be equipped with multiple Kenwood Here2Anywhere Sirius portable radios. Each location will average seven different Sirius radios.

Sweet!

Wonder if HOB gets to assist with programming in return?

I'd love to see a HOB weekly specialty show or even their own stream of live concerts.

Definitely a partnership we need to expand upon.

I would like to see Sirius get Elwood Blues' (Dan Akroyd) weekly radio show. I used to pick it up on Sunday mornings when I was in North Western NJ. I do not think I was DX'ing a NYC station because I was a lot closer to the Pocono's than I was to the city.

Clear Channel's promotions/concert biz, SFX, was trying to purchase HOB's entertainment venues, but that deal never happened.

Did Sirius throw a party or have a customer function today at the HOB?

I was lucky enough to be at HOB Foundation Room (Top of the Mandalay Bay Las Vegas) a couple of times this week and we had one of the private party rooms (Ganesh room?) Really nice, made me wish that I was still in college (inhale, cough cough ) and they were wired with an excellent Sirius sound system on an H2A platform. I flipped it to the ROCK and enjoyed the @#$ out of it. Beautiful setting, great tunes, good acoustics, very very dry martini's S-W-E-E-T-
One quick disclaimer, not my membership, I borrowed it from a friend of mine whose company pays for it. The HOB is definately onboard with SIRIUS though, there were some ads for it in the elevator and around the club. GO DOG!

The Foundation Room at Las Vegas is absolutely amazing. It's located at the very end of that giant row of themed hotels, but it's on the top floor looking down the street the massive spectacle. It's also one of the tallest buildings in town (excluding the gigantic 1,000ft Space Needle style thing at the other end of the row) so you really feel up above it all.

I wish I could have seen it more than once.
