The following comes from the New York Radio Message Board, written by Allan Sniffen, the owner and operator of the board. Allan is a well-known New York radio insider so I just about take this as gospel:
"Lynn Samuels will be doing weekend shows (Sat. and Sun.) on Sirius satellite radio beginning on Saturday, October 11. This is an interesting move. Lynn is very "Neww Yoook" sounding. I wonder how that will play on a national service. Most talk show hosts go through a "getting acquainted" phase when they first start on any station. In this case it's a broader audience where that process may take longer."
Lynn is a liberal talk show host in a sea of conservative talkers. As a New Yorker, I love Lynn Samuels. Yes, she is a liberal, but she is funny and a good listen. Nice pick up for Sirius.
