Default Lynn Samuels It's Official

– September 30, 2003 – SIRIUS (NASDAQ: SIRI), known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and premium broadcast entertainment to cars and homes across the country, today announced that Lynn Samuels - the fiercely liberal radio talk show host with a signature Queens, New York accent - joins SIRIUS to host The Lynn Samuels Show on SIRIUS Left, stream 145. The show, which launches October 11 and airs every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am -1 pm ET, is a SIRIUS exclusive presentation.
Samuels has worked in radio for over 25 years, and is well known for her time at WABC/New York, where her program ran adjacent to the Rush Limbaugh show. Her success also led to national appearances on FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, Sally Jesse Raphael, Geraldo and Politically Incorrect.

“Lynn Samuels is one of today’s premier voices in liberal talk, and SIRIUS is proud to present her viewpoint to subscribers nationwide,” said Jay Clark, Executive Vice President, Programming, SIRIUS. “This is just another example of SIRIUS’ efforts to offer a diversity of talk programming.”

"It's so exciting to be doing radio on the cutting edge of technology. Being in on something new is the biggest thrill in the world,” said Lynn Samuels. “SIRIUS is really reaching for the stars."

Great news.....something to balance out the angry, hateful right-wing neo-conservatives that dominate talk radio.

The one thing Sirius has over XM is the talk channels. I like to listen to variety and with Sirius Talk, Right, Left and the Wisdom channel, you have several to choose from.

Or maybe they are just passionate about their views What you described is how I think of many left wingers that I hear, because they commonly resort to name calling when they start losing the debate.

I do agree however that there should be "passionate" voices on both sides of the radio dial.

Hey, I am one of those neo-conservatives (and a right-wing talk listener) out here who just loves Lynn Samuels. Being without her great insight and funny persona for such a long time, I can't wait to get to listen to her again. Go Lynn!!
