Good points. I have NHL Center Ice on DirecTV. BUT, I like the idea of listening to the game when I am in my car in the evenings I am out since my favorite team is out of town. I'm looking forward to it.
I, too, have the Center Ice package. I had to get it when I finally got DirecTV. Hopefully, SIRIUS won't go the ESPN route and only broadcast games featuring Detroit, Colorado or St. Louis.
I follow the Kings, Ducks & Canucks, so, let's hope every team gets their turn.

up to 40 games a week? that shouldn't be a problem i don't think
Kudos for Sirius. IMO, however, most die-hard hockey fans will have a dish with the NHL package.
Then again die hard fans would never want to be away from home without coverage either
yah, PLUS for the price of just Center Ice, you get the same amount of games PLUS a year's subscription to Sirius. Granted, yah, CenterIce is video and Sirius is audio, but hell, in the end Sirius made a really good decision here. Lets hope there's a butt load of promos for Sirius on TV brodcasts now
Jandree22, Amen to that! Glad to hear you're an NHL fan! I like the Flyers too, but, you better hope that Bobby Clarke made the right decision in getting rid of Cechmanek and hiring Hackett for the goaltending. (I like Hack, but he's been injury prone the last few years and Esche may steal the job from him this year.)
This deal was made right before I started installing my setup. If I had any doubts about going with Sirius, they went away then. (Plus, its a step in the right direction to make up for not having NFL and Nascar). I could care less about the NBA so the sports channels were never going to be seeing me, but now NHL. That is fantastic. Go Pens!
