Sports Score Ticker

I know that on channels broadcasting hockey/basketball display an onscreen score throughout that particular game. I was wondering what the chance of say like the ESPNEWS channel displaying a continuous ticker showing current/final scores of ALL major league teams, including Baseball?

Question: Why have they stopped running the scores on the display during NBA Play-by-Play? I haven't seen the updating scores for at least a few days.

No one has any information on why the sports broadcasts aren't sending the scores on the screen?

Well, I have no idea why they would have stopped streaming NBA scores, but I agree that they have.

I would think that this would be a higher priority during the playoffs, where there is more game surfing likely.

Streaming this info requires an enormous amount of planning and testing. It requires the cooperation of our programming partners and third-party information providers. When we come across a technical issue it sometimes requires us to pull the scores off the service until the outside providers can change the way they provide this info to us.

As you can imagine, Hockey is relatively easy to display since the scores don't change often. But our NBA info must come from an approved vendor who also does this for other services.

As much as we'd like to offer this feature to you and our other subs, we need to get it right before we can formally announce its debut.

Cool, Ron. I didn't know it wasn't "officially" underway, anyway... and it just went away without anyone saying anything.
