Default SJ During Day on Hip Hop Nation needs to cut down chatter

This of course is my opinion but alot of times she just goes on ranting about stuff. the other day she went on about how the miners in africa are suffering mining for diamonds and exploiting and some rapper should not be using diamonds from there.

there is alot of times she just gets annoying and talks way too much, anyone else agree?

Not me. I find her in the tradition of many dj's on urban stations. I also find her interludes interesting...

I doubt I am alone.

i also fine her annoying. but then again she could be talking about how cute her dog is like most FM djs. so i rather have her discuss real issues.

but some of the stuff is a real downer. i think a month ago she was talking about how a local dj got fired because she stated taht she was anti interracial couples. she was explaining how she shouldnt have been fired etc.

well next day she issued almost like an apology about supporting the akward views, but then proceeded to say that the views werent racist and that african americans cant be racist because you can only be racist if you have power. and blacks dont have power. (which all in all has to be the most retarded statement i ever heard.) it bummed me out to here such a stupid thing and i quickly changed streams to a more upbeat dj on Hot jamz.

The balance between too much and not enough is almost always difficult to define. Its a thin line, but I would rather have them err on the side of less than more...dont try to duplicate regular radio, just without the commercials.....be a step ahead of the game and make sure you dont turn off the listeners. I vote less is best and more can annoy when it come to talk....hiphop included.

I guess we're talking about Amanda Diva....

.....I don't know. I find her funny most of the time (not home during the day so I rarely hear her on HHN). I like how she will just go off on someone and make it funny. Most of the time when I listen to her, Im laughing because she has pretty funny/quick wits before someone songs starts (like R Kelly etc etc).

I did hear the segment about the person fired but I didn't pay too much attention to it. I guess someone from higher up heard her opinion. I don't have a problem with her or any of the other dj's. When they do appear, they talk for 2-3 minutes tops compared to FM where it is 5-7 minutes.

(Off topic, Anyone know what stream T-Man works on? He covered for Hollywood on Tuesday on Hot Jamz but I can't find his name anywhere at sirus.com)
