I am assuming this is the new name of the Eminem/Shady channel coming to Sirius this fall.

From wnew.com regarding Geronimo.

The G-man has since gone on to Program Sirius 66 The Beat, Hit Dance Music Channel and later Hot Jamz, Sirius’ popular Hip Hop & R n B Channel. He now oversees all Dance and Hip Hop programming which includes 9 Sirius Channels and the soon to debut Shady Records/Sirius collaboration, “Shade 45.” He can also be heard weekly on New York’s new WNEW-FM, Mix 102.7 FM.

I guess we were all wrong on channel 40 being replaced.

Well, although Hot Jamz (50) plays hip hop music, it isn't in the Hip Hop category, so they probably aren't counting that. And I'm thinking maybe this was written before Boombox came out? That's why they only count 5 dance stations? I dont know. That's the only thing I could think of.

True. G-man equals Geronimo (or sumthin along those lines), right? If so, he is the PD for 50 because the dj's have stated it numerous times......

So it looks like Eminem will have a new channel.

I think 9: 40, 42, 43, 44, 61, 62, 63, 64, 66. He won't program Shade 45 b/c that is Shady Records' channel, and The Strobe seems like it would be programmed by someone else.

i have not signed up for sirius yet....but i am considering it now that shady records has their own channel cuz im a huge fan......soo can someone tell me if its 1 of the commercial free stations b4 i sign up...thanx

All of the music stations on Sirius are commercial free. So I would certainly assume that it will be commercial free as well.

well hopefully it is commercial-free.....but the only reason why i wasn't sure was b/c on sirius.com they said there are 65 commercial free stations..but a total of 120 stations....sooo i was wondering if shade45 is one of the other 55+ that have commercials

Since they haven't actually added it to the service, they haven't changed the number of commercial-free stations.

I'm sure it won't have commercials.

yea you were rite...i found this on the bottom of the article about the new station..."The upcoming Eminem channel will be the latest addition to SIRIUS' current selection of 65 channels of 100% commercial-free music. "
