Default Missing "Street beat", Not!

Well I listened to Shade 45 all evening and have to say I am impressed and do NOT miss Street Beat at this point, I think it is a better more up to date replacement although time will tell.

Seems Shade has little talk and lots of music, yet reflects Eminems flavor. Its just that I was afraid that Shade 45 would be more talk!!
So far so good, thanks Sirius!!

Shade 45 to me seems to have a much better identity as a station in general then street beat ever did. The imagaing is a breath of fresh air.

From what I have listened to... I am much happier w/ Shade 45.

I really like the underground hip-hop... if they had canned Chan 40 nstead of Chan 44 I would have been really pissed.

But in any case, this is a good look for sirius.

I am really likin Shade45 also. I'm listening right now to the "Shade45 Halloween Drama Takeover" and it sounds really sweet from what I've heard. I don't listen to rap that much, but I dont ever remember hearing any of this music before.

Lets hope it draws the listeners in, aka subscribers. Big talent on many channels is a hope to pulling in even bigger numbers.

I must be one of the few that does actually miss Street Beat. I'm not saying that I don't like Shade 45, but I do wish that Street Beat wasn't cut in favor of it. I wish they could have just added Shade 45 and left Street Beat too.

I read where Hot Jamz and Street Beat were supposed to be similar, but for some reason, they aren't that similar. I liked Street Beat better, plus it was nice to be able to switch back and forth between those two if you didn't like the song that was on one. Oh well.

I'm don't know much about the Hip Hop streams, but wasn't Streetbeat suppose to be more like what is played on the FM stations? In my opinion its a good move to have two underground streams 40 and 45 and leave the FM hits to Hot Jamz and Sirius Hits 1. People get away from FM because of the repetition and the censorship. Its good to have the hits like on two channels but Sirius needs to lean on uncensored music you cant get on FM. Dropping Streetbeat for Shade 45 is a great move. Ya there are some classic rock channels I think that could've been replaced for it instead of Streetbeat. Hip Hop is popular but by looking at the Sirius channel lineup you'd think Rock is Way more popular but its not... I actually think they should drop that 80's Hairband channel and kept the Streetbeat to increase the Hip Hop Stream channels but I guess not.

Streetbeat was geared towards rap music while Hot Jamz is rap and R&B music.

When you come to Sirius, the problem is almost bad, if not as worse as FM radio.
