Default New NeoSoul Show on Hot Jamz?

I don't have my Sirius radio (I won't until the end of the month, most likely :\ ) so I've been SOL on alot of stuff.

Tonight, the C2C started at 9 not the usually 10pm time. Anyway, since 11pm, Hot Jamz has been playing neo soul songs pretty much. Songs that I would never expect on Sirius. Nice change of pace imho....I"m enjoying it right now......

Les Nubians, Eric Benet and a couple other artists have been featured.

They even played a hit from 2000 or 2001, Maria Maria by Santana and 2 guys that I can't remember their names. lol....

Neo Soul is an area where Sirius is lacking...if this is an addition to programming, it is a welcome feature!

There are several key areas in which Sirius could do better in adult urban programming...neo soul, old skool, urban ac...but it seems they are after the under 30 generation and forgetting about 30+ year old African Americans, like myself.

Isn't Heart & Soul an Urban AC? Its not the best but its pretty good imho.

I think Slow Jamz should be canned for an old skool stream imho. A lil newer then soul revue but not too new to cramp Heart & Soul.

Heart &Soul 51 and Slow Jamz 52 have at least 75% of the same playlist, I would love to see an old skool channel take over for Slow Jamz. What song that Slow Jamz playsm isnt heard on Heart &Soul? They both play current urban ac, only difference is Heart &Soul plays a bit more classic r&b hits than 52 Slow Jamz. Bring back the funk!!

Slow Jamz plays alot of new R&B songs that belong on Hot Jamz but Sirius see fit to allow to play only on Slow Jamz. Don't ask me why.......

Default Hip-Hop R&B

I`ve noticed that sirius play the same music all over the place.I will hear a song on soul review that I dont like and then change to heart & soul and the same song will play there.

There is a certain amount of songs that can get played both on Heart & Soul and Soul Revue. Soul Revue plays late 60s to mid 80s classic R&B, while Heart & Soul plays best of todays R&B (non hip hop) and classic soul hits from the past 20 years. So there is a small bit of overlap there...but not much to bother me. The biggest overlap is SlowJamz and Heart & Soul- playing basically the same current R&B adult hits of today.

Please, no more slow jamz on Hot Jamz, keep it Rhythmic. XMs The City, plays too many slow jamz mixed in with the Hip Hop, and Rhythmic hits, I didnt like it.

I sorta agree with you but its certain songs that just don't belong sole on Slow Jamz. Like O'Ryan song, "take It slow" was just on Slow Jamz. How many people in that demographic even know who he is? Same for Truth Is, why is it just getting play on Slow Jamz? It can be played on 50, 51 and 52, imho. Hell, if My Boo can be played on 50 and 51, why can't truth is? Its the #2 in the country on the R&B chart.
