I'd put a hundred bucks on the first word being the "C-Word"

:)

Kewlguy,
In typical stern show fashion, the crew was self-censoring themselves by using the first letter of the taboo word in the context of the sentence. They were all ranting and robin said the phrase "C*ck S-er" instead of C-sucker. It got caught somewhere by the time it got to Boston anyway, as it was dumped out. They did talk about it after and Robin apologized with a chuckle. It was funny.
I like th F-U/Hey Jude song as the opener. That would be funny. Or maybe he'll just say, "Hey Now, Motherf*ckers!"

Maybe it'll be an uncensored version of "F the FCC"

I want to hear the un-bleeped versions of the Casey Kasem tantrum, Pat O'Brien calls and Sulu calling the redneck. I'm sure there are many more that I can't think of right now. Howard on Sirius is going to be a wild show.

The Radio Chick played those a week or 2 ago.

How about some of the staff fights/arguments, like Scott the engineer flipping out? I bet Howard has hours of botched commercials, kind of like the Casey Kaisem tape, where he snaps and starts flipping out. Think about all the great bits that have had to be edited....Can't wait. I hope one of the channels is just all best of..UNCENSORED. I'd be like listening to all new Stern. :woohoo:

I may be wrong but I heard Howard say that all the stuff recorded there is NOT HIS and they can not take it with them, so a lot of sound bites and arguments remain the radios property!

I'm almost positive Stern's big thing, among the many industry trends he has set, is that he owns ALL his own material. I think it's in his contracts.

I don`t think Howard will be the first,I think it will be one of the callers or his guest that will utter one of the so-called dirty words.

Probably true to an extent, but he has mentioned that some things they will not be able to take because they will remain property of Infinity. Hopefully those things won't amount to much...

you guys should listen to opie and anthony, they have been playing the un-censored versions of all this stuff. Kasey Kasum and Pat O'brian. The pat obrian stuff is unlistenable censored.

While you wait for stern in january, get an XM online subscription and check out O&A. By the time stern comes on, you will be hooked and might not even want to hear stern come january.

And by the way, I am not bashing stern, I listen to both shows, and O&A blow him out of the water.

They played the un-censored Pat O'Brien messages on both "The Radio Chick" and "The Jay Thomas Show"

You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but why promote an XM show in a SIRIUS forum? I've had the displeasure of hearing O&A a few times and they annoyed the hell out of me every time. I'll take Stern anyday.

chad, I am here because I have sirius, but I also have XM. I listen to stern and O&A, however, stern has really shown how much of a hypocrite he is over the last 5 years. With that said, I am looking foward to him coming to sirius, maybe the move will breath new much needed life into his show, which you must admit has become very stale.

I am simply stating that there are other shows, and given the chance you can become hooked on the O&A show if you give them a couple of weeks worth of listening. Their show is all about the inside shit that you don't pick up unitl you have been listening for awhile.

There is room for more than one show out there, don't be such a fanboy

I listened to OandA for as long as they were on in Philly and honestly I do not miss them. Now Norton on the other hand I do miss hearing him because he is funny.

I listened to them on XM during the first couple of weeks they were on and just laughed cause they needed to mention stern every other minute and cry about it.

Honestly if they would have come on and said we have to give stern a lot of credit because it wasn't for him they wouldn't have a career. But they act like they were the first.

In Philly Preston and Steve have done the same crap Howard has done and they call it there own the only difference is the people in philly think preston and steve came up with their version of "its just wrong."

Mikey Palmice

first of all, the only reason they were taking time to talk/bash about stern in the first few weeks is because of what he did to them.

Did you know that Stern used to cry to mel all the time about O&A, and that he basically put a gag order on them so they couldn't fight him on the air? O&A had in their syndication contract at wnew that they could talk about whoever they want, and stern went to mel and forced him to put a gag order on them. He, like a little bitch, cried to mel, and forced them to not mention his name. For all of sterns on air so called battles with other jocks, he has been nothing more than a p**sy behind the scenes.

They aren't allowed to talk about me on the air, cry baby. If stern wasn't such a hypocrite he would fight his battle with O&A on the air or just let them bash him. But getting a gag order, please.

And lastly, O&A have always gave stern his respect, up until the minute that he became such a b**ch, and a hypocrite. They have admitted growing up listening to him, but if you think stern has the same cutting edge show that he used to, you are just like all the other stern drones out there that take anything he says as gospel.

Do you honestly think that anybody who does this type of show, is a stern clone. It is like saying showtime is an HBO clone, get real. Respect is given when it is gotten in return. Stern crapped on the boys behind the scenes. The O&A show is also so much more than a shock show, give it a REAL listen and you will see.

I had XM and an O&A membership for over a month and the show is unlistenable. It's unfunny and annoying as hell.

Too much forced humor and whining about Stern/XM equipment.

I love O&A myself. I'm not a big Stern fan anymore, but I'll give him a listen when he comes to Sirius.

However, if Ron and Fez come to XM, I'm not going to have much time left in my listening time for anything new.

Mikey Palmice
04-12-2005, 04:32 PM
keal3, if you were getting screwed behind the scenes for years and not allowed to talk about it, wouldn't you spend some time on the subject once you were given total freedom after coming back from a 2 years off the air. They got it out of their system now, and are on to bigger and better things. Plus in the beginning of the xm show they were working out a lot of stuff, the show is running much better now, give it another listen, you won't regret it. Once you get the inside stuff, you will love it.

And, yeah, if the rumors are true neztzy, you may very well get your wish with ron and fez

Fanboy? Not even close. If you take the time to read some of my past posts, you'll see that I'm usually one of the first to express my displeasure if I feel SIRIUS is doing something wrong.

If I liked both services equally then I'd probably have dual subs to both services just like you do. Or I'd only have an XM sub. But, it just so happens that XM (or O&A) isn't my cup of tea. I did my research before choosing any satellite radio service, and SIRIUS turned out to be the one I really liked...so I chose it. End of story.

If you realy think about it Howard has no talent @all,he has the ability to find dumb ass people who are willing to go on the air and make asses of themselves, and to me THEY are funny.Basicly Howard is the Jerry Springer of radio.

I happened to notice the little Last>>> arrow on the thread pages and was curious what the oldest thread was about in the Howard Stern forum. This appears to be the oldest one that is still intact.

The funny thing is that it's 3 years old but is the same as half the new threads. Some things never change...
