I just heard on my local station today that plays howard stern, that they will be having a special anouncment after the H.S. show tommorow. They said since Howard is moving to Sattellite radio, there has been a lot of talk about what we are gona do. Stay tuned tommorow at 10pm to hear what we are going to do.... Anyone else hear this anouncment?

I suppose that will be the case. Stern is in "Best Of" mode today, and has been all week. Something is up!

Won't be back for a week and a half.
Well, at least I can catch Covino and Rich in the meantime, they come on at 7am here in PST.

Same thing here in Philadelphia but they havn't said anything yet. KiddChris started weeknights on monday on sterns station. My guess is that Howard helped him get the job since the philly station is the longest running stern affiliate. I can only hope that he moved to the east coast so he is closer to sirius for interviews :).
I havn't really listened to his show yet because I forgot how to turn my FM radio on when howard is on best of :) But from what I have heard in the past he is pretty funny.

I don't know what station this is from but Howard if off the air in this market due to an FCC inquiry.

I looked at that site and that station comes from Columbus, Ohio.

Yep, that's The Blitz out of Columbus. Used to be classic rock, now "new rock" whatever that means.

You gotta love the FCC.Hopefully they will scare Viacom into thinking they are about to loose thier liscence(sp?) this time and Viacom let howard go.

Howard ALWAYS takes a week off before LABOR DAY(including tomorrow, Monday) and he is USUALLY back the Tues. after Labor day.
If he is not(although in the past he has extended his vacation) back Tues., then we can begin to speculate.
But if he is not back, then we will be informed something has happended.
They always do stuff when he is on vacation. Much easier on them not to be able to reply on his radio show.

Well Howard has been replaced by the "The Greg O Show" on the blitz here in Columbus :( The blitz kept saying the greg o show will be a damn good show, and I tried listening to it for about 10 minutes today and hated it. They did get rid of howard becuase they were scared about the station being shut down from the FCC crap. Oh well, at least howard comes to sirius at the end of this month (kinda)!

I listen to the gregg o show in the mornings. It's OK. Nothing too great. As soon as Howard is on sirius, I will no longer listen to gregg o.
