Default Streaming Stern channels?

Does anyone know if Sirius is planning to allow streaming of Stern's channels? There is no way to get reception where I work and I would hope they would make streaming available.

He has said on the show that he has no problems streaming the show so he doesn't see why they couldn't do that.

Uhm, just disable the stream on the guest account or make it a preview clip? That would work.

I was talking about accessing the 3 day trial unlimited times.and if you do it from Howards link you can get it for 7 days which means you would have to do it once a week.

No it wouldn't. If you put up a preview clip that doesn't change then they can get a taste of the show and then decide to subscribe. If the only reason they were registering guest accounts was to listen to the show for free then it doesn't matter if you disable the live stream because they weren't subscribing anyway.

I asked the same question and someone pasted a response from Sirius in regards to streaming Sterns content online and it wont happen. Something about ownership of content and so on and so forth. If someone knows to which Sirius memo I am refering to please paste it here. Thanks so much.

I don't think they are going to... too easy for people to figure out a way to listen for free.

This is from the FAQ's section on Sirius.com

Can I stream SIRIUS’ Sports, News and Entertainment programming?
Due to certain limitations, we are unable to make those channels available live on the SIRIUS Player. However, you can listen to the SIRIUS OutQ channel and Lynn Samuels on SIRIUS Left // 143.

But that hasn't been updated in a while. They also now stream Jay Thomas, Radio Chick, Wiseguys and Alex Bennet. All in house productions, of which Stern will also be.

I disagree. They've come along way with online streaming security of the log on where only one subscriber can log on at a time. Like DaJoker said, they're already streaming other Sirius-only shows. I think they might.

A lot of people do pay but can not listen at work like they can do now due to not having an antenna they can install on the roof of their work, or no clear line of access from putting an antenna in their window. Also there are people who work in cubicles, etc. Those people should have some way to listen if they are paying subscribers.

What limitations of Stern channels would they have? That will be Sirius in house content and they own the rights....

XM offers O&A on their online stream...Stern channels should be no different than that....

Nothing is going to stop people from listening for free... there will most likely be an underground live stream so to limit that why not unlock the online stream...
