By now, you already know that "King of All Media" Howard Stern is joining SIRIUS. Be sure that you're listening on the day radio history is made in 2006.
Great There isn't even a promo loop there yet just sum humming thumping noise. Geesh we could have kept 2 stations a little longer instead of getting this crap. I would have expected at least a promo loop. Another fine quality move by sirius. lol

4:30 am Pacific Time. Get in the car. Slam the PNP2 into dock. Start the car, hit the power button. Stream upload. Load complete, and I immediately turn to channel 100. What does it say?? "Howard Stern 100". Is there anything being broadcast?? No! But, there is a scroll that reads "farters coming soon". Great.
Stern wasn't ready for it. He's coming in January, not now. He's still under contract with Infinity, which makes it hard for him to do stuff for Sirius. Also I've heard that there are only certain times a year that Sirius can change the channels that are active on their satellite, so this is why it was done now.

You heard wrong. They are Sirius'es satellites, they can update the streams when they want. It probably takes quite a bit of work on their end and that is most likely the reason they choose to make changes en masse rather than one at a time.
Would somebody please record the first few minutes of this channel - just in case they do something other than a loop? Or at least do something unique that doesn't get repeated?
Yeah, you want to be sure and preserve that tape of the dead air humming noise that's on there now . Couldn't resist!
Anyway, Sirius should at least put on a promo loop or something instead of just dead air. Also, since Howard has signed Bubba and Bubba isn't under any contract right now, Howard needs to get off his butt and put Bubba's show on ASAP.
The display on both channels says "FARTERS COMING SOON."
I will never, never listen to either of these channels. 100% crap.
It's funny, I was listening to Howard this morning and they were talking about the new channels, and they were joking about having someone farting live on the channel. Then Howard told Gary to call over to Sirius and have them change the display to Farters Coming Soon. I quickly turned on my PNP2 (hadn't gotten the update yet), and within a few minutes there it was. Pretty funny.
