I heard that talk and news channels on Sirius are allotted less bandwidth than music channels. Because they are primarily speech, they can get away with a lower sound quality.
If this is true how much bandwidth will the Stern channels be given, music or talk quality bandwidth? Considering the amount of music bits that are played on Stern's Show I hope he would be given the maximum amount of bandwidth possible.

Considering how big a deal he is I think he will have the maximum amount. Even though formally not so great sounding talk/ent. channels are sounding much better than they did before the 29th.

I dont think they will let us down regarding sound quality. There is too much at stake. A lot of people are underestimating Howard. This is not going to be a regular Stern show with added cursing. The show is going to be revolutionary. After 30 years he's finally going to do his show 100% his way.

I'm sure they'll give him as much as the music channels too. If they give Maxim Radio that much they'll definately give both his channels high quality bandwidth as well.

listening to the farts today, I noticed channel 101 is crystal clear. The best sounding channel on Sirius so far. Its so clear you can hear EVERYTHING in the background. Channel 100 sounded awful though, the same thin sound

I'm on my boombox now so it's hard to tell but i have to admit 101 does sound a little better. It's hard to tell with just farts though. LOL

I do agree with you there, because when I was driving to work 100 & 101 are both live I guess? But 100 sound, sounds low and 101 sounds better so I been listen to 101!

I was amazed at the sound quality. It was like listening to a CD. The farts were rumbling my subwoofers. It was funny at first but then I got kinda nauseous. When that girl Debbie came back from pizza break, she let out a real loud wet queef that even made her laugh :D
