Even though I am Michigan Made, I currently live in Massachusetts. I have been living here since March 2003. The move here from Seattle was a long one, but well worth it. We are now closer to family. And that is what matters.
Most things you hear about Massachusetts are true. Yes, people here drive very offensively (to put it nicely) and yes, that includes me. I have no choice I have to survive. Yes, traffic sucks, all the time!! Yes, there are die hard Red Sox and Patriot fans everywhere (of course, right?). Yes, there are Dunkin' Donuts everywhere!!
I'm glad that I'm here. I am used to it now, but it was a big adjustment for my wife and I.
Let us know how you feel about Massachusetts whether you live here now, have lived here in the past, or have been through.
I have had Sirius about a week now. So I am a Noob. My decision was mostly based on Howard Stern, but I am enjoying some of the other stations as well. It is nice to have some real metal stations to listen too. Plus I guess I am a bit of a right winger, so some of the talk is fun to listen to as well.
Michigan Made is right about Dunkin Donuts. I live in Medford and we have at least 12 of them here. It is also the beauty parlor capital of the world. Every other store in Medford Square either offers haircuts, facials, or asian maicures. It is kind lof like Irish Pubs in South Boston.
THough I have lived here all of my life, next year I will most likely be relocating to the Carolinas. I am sick of Boston winters, perpetual traffic jams, high taxes and overpriced housing. I will look forward to gold, cycling and fly fishing 12 months out of the year!!!
I grew up in Mass., and moved out after high school (I'm embarrased to say the town, so I'll just say the funny one on the Exit 7 sign...). Definitely one of those places you don't know how little you'll miss it 'til you're gone. And yes they drive like mass-holes!
