A few questions I don't think I've seen asked yet...
The score ticker: just games currently on Sirius, or a seperate data source?
Speaking of sports; is there a GameZone (NFLZone, NHLZone, NBAZone, etc.)?
Does this unit allow for "look-ahead" like the other PNPs. Can I check what on other stations before changing the channel (assuming I'm listening to live content)?

Yes it has game zone and yes you can look ahead. You can even look ahead to just your pre-sets. It is really nice! And it tells you channel name, song title, and artist all on the same screen.

Good questions RR. I too am interesting in the sports ticker to see if it is independent with always scrolling scores or if it only works when there are games playing. I hope it is independent like XM's sports ticker.
I programmed all the NHL teams. I am still scrolling final scores. Ooops. They just went off. By that, the scores scroll as long as the Sirius broadcast is on live.

The Cruthfield website has changed the estimated ship date from Nov 30 to Nov 25 and they are also selling on Amazon with a Nov 25 ship date. Since they are selling additional units with this ship date, I hope that means all of ours are shipping.

So it isn't independent, it's just while the game zone is up and running. I guess scrolling is better than having to click to the game zone category and hit display mutliple times to find out. Still an independent sports tickler like XM has would have been icing on the cake. I sure wish they had a built in Stock Ticker too. Those two features are worth the cost of admission on my Pioneer Airware as far as I am concerned.

One of the two Best Buys in Birmingham still had the three they got in today. The other had already sold out their three, but said they'd have more by Friday.
I love this radio!!
Obviously I haven't had much time to explore all the features, or even read the manual yet. But I've already "loved" four songs... it's so easy!!
Mounting info:
It does not have a suction-cup mount. There are three mounting options. (1) A circular adhesive foot sticks to the dash, which attaches directly to the mounting plate, and can swivel. (2) The foot sticks to the side of your console below the dash, then attaches to an extension arm, that then attaches to the mounting plate. Both swivel. (3) A bracket attaches to an air-vent, then attaches to the swivel mounting plate.
I've got mine on the extension arm. The foot and half of the arm fit snugly into my dash storage slot. The dock can still swivel on the end that sticks out. I didn't take off the foot adhesive's protective plastic, so I can actually mount it later if I don't like my current setup.
On downloading songs:
I had posted a question in the other review thread asking how to download music from the SIRIUS website. Apparently that's not possible. Maybe I'm just losing my mind, but I swear I read about that on the SIRIUS S50 webpage about two months ago. Does anyone else remember seeing that? I'm sure I saw something like "download content from SIRIUS directly to the S50."

Thanks for the mounting info, but I think we were just wondering if it has the AMPS mounting holes on the bracket or where-ever
I seen the statement you have above, but I assumed it meant downloading content directly from SIRIUS to mean via the tuner itself, not like download from a webs site.
Sorry about the repost but my question didn't get answered with all the threads going on here, but I'm curious how do the presets work on the S50's car mount? I can't envision the dial working that well compared to 6 or 10 distinct preset buttons. Thanks!
I don't recall if anyone posted the S50 car doc has the industry AMPS mounting?
Also..is the antenna specific to the S50 or can you use an antenna from another PnP?
I think one of the first posts said it has AMPS mounting. I will look to see if I can find
found it from REFUSBIGBUCKS
Its not tall at all. Even when docked the unit is not all that big. When its not in the cradle it fits in the palm of your hand. Its actually smaller then my blackberry. It has the AMPS mounting holes in the back of the car kit so Im sure the install methods are endless.

There are 30 presets that can be set whiled docked. A simple enough task, just press the media dial down and follwing the onscreen instructions. You can even edit the preset number. To tune to a saved preset, just hit the search button (looking glass icon) and scroll with the media dial to desired preset.
Mounting options with included hardware include:
1. Vent clip
2. (2) mounting brackets
3. Adhesvive foot
3. Extension arm
4. the mounting bracket has a 4 bolt pattern (corners) that match the car dock
5. Manual includes detailed/pictured installation instructions
