Default S50 Activation Questions and Comments

Just got the S50 from TheSiriusStore.com! But Sirius can't activate it because they don't have the ESN on file! Called up Taylor and he was as helpful as he could be stating that this is something the Directed messed up on. They are supposed to forward the "sold" units ESN numbers to SIRUS but a batch must have not been scanned. He called up his rep at Sirius and hopefully things will be back in order tomorrow...

Well at least I can load it up with some MP3s...

UPDATE: S50 is now activated!

Via phone. That's another thing, I can't seem to log-in to the Sirius account management pages...

Sirius customer service has been more than willing to help via email with the login problems I have had. I've only had one problem and that was when they changed the logins and passwords a while ago. Nevertheless, they helped me out immediately. I'm sure they'd do it via phone too. I hope my S50 activation goes smoothly on Monday!

If you want to listen to satellite you will need the power cord and the antenna that came with the car kit. Stick it out the window and plug it in.

You don't need any power cord or antenna to listen to MP3's that you transfered to it.

I don't have a S50, but I have been reading the threads, and I didn't stay in a holiday inn last night.

I had the same problem when my S50 arrived today, but earlier this evening I got a phone call from Taylor, and he told me to call the Product Support line (800-869-5364.) Within minutes my S50 was up and running, and I haven't looked back since.

Have you installed the software that comes with the S50. I think that would be a good starting point. Install that software and follow the instructions. It's simple drag and drop, works very easily.

No, you should be able to drag and drop from the directory on your hard drive in which your files are located. The S50 has nothing whatsoever to do with Real Player. You can't use Real Player.
