Are you using the car dock at home for scheduling recordings? If you are that's your problem. I've tested recording back to back to back on the stern channel with no problems using the home dock.
The car dock sucks for scheduling recordings. There is definitely an issue there.
That has been my experience as well. Schedule recording on the auto cradle is just too troublesome. The Home Dock has worked very well for me doing scheduled recordings, even back to back ones.
Is it possible to save/move content from My Channels - not music, but comedy, say from Raw Dog? I have stuffed saved that I would like to keep, but I want to delete it from My Channels to free up a spot for something else.
I tried to 'love' it like you would a song, but that did not work.
Also, has anyone tried to save a song or show after listening to it live? Like 'rewinding' after the song or show has played live and then tried to save it and had luck? I tried to record something off of Raw Dog by rewinding and then tried to save but the machine froze up.
Ok, I give up, what's the secret to getting the home dock's usb sync to work? The home dock works great, my S50 is functioning normally, all my channels and everything are still there along with my loved songs, but the usb connection won't work through the home dock. I've tried different usb ports and get the same message in win xp: the usb device is not recognized. I've uninstalled My Sirius Studio completely, reinstalled it, still the same problem. Anyone else have these problems?
DAB, when you say back to back you do mean 7:00 to 9:00 and 9:00 to 11:00? Correct?

Hi Charles, Yes actually back to back just like you point out above. I've usually only done 2 - 2 hour segments and its always handled it okay.

I did see another post about this. They couldn't get it to work either. Not sure if there was ever a solution. Mine works, but I found once it connects that my computer is rather sluggish, so I prefer not to connect that way. I have mine disconnected and don't plan to use it.
Has anyone had a problem getting the home unit antenna to pick up a signal. I have moved it around, inside and out, for over an hour. As soon as I get a signal and walk away from it, the signal goes out. It is driving me insane.
Ok, cool thanks DAB. Interestingly enough my channel announcements are gone. I'll know if it's a problem with my S50 or the home dock tomorrow when I get to work and use my laptop and the original usb to s50 cord that came with the unit/car dock package. I'll post in the am just so we can keep track of stuff like this.
p.s. my channel logos are all there still and my voice nav is set to on.

You can't just love songs. Do you 1) hit love on the show 2) tell it the starting point by using the rewind button, if necessary, otherwise leave it where it is 3) hit the love button 4) use the fast forward button to tell it when to end the recording...i.e. fast forward to half hour, hour, etc. 5) finally hit the love button again. it should start recording the show then.

If I click the love button, then click it again to start recording, fast forward 2 minutes, click the love button to stop recording... it THEN STARTS recording? and I have to wait 2 minutes for it to get the 2 minutes that I wanted? if so I have no problem thats great, I just want to make sure my s50 isnt broken or anything.
I think I found another bug. Whenever I shutdown by going to setup, shut down device, with the S50 in the home dock, it seems to freeze up in a powered off state. To fix it I have to pull it off the dock, take the battery out for a second, then put it back together, when I dock it it will work again. If I use the power button on the remote to shut it down, it will turn back on like it normally would, no need to pull the battery out. I do not have these issues when I use the car dock.
By the way, at some point when I restarted it out of the dock, or did the battery thing, my voice nav came back for all the channels.

Go ahead an try it out man. It should work, I just did it on Howard 100 tonight for a 20 minute recording. I just tried it again on a 20 second clip of bbc world service to be sure my instructions were correct. Also, just so we're on the same page, it won't start the 2 minutes from the final love button press to tell it where to end, it will use the buffer to start from where you told it to start, or from where you first pressed the love button to tell it that you wanted to save the section

Make sure it is plugged in all the way, and try to get it on the roof. If that doesn't work then your antenna could be faulty.
