They are really dry, too. Gotta have a glass of milk with them. Then they are so-so.

I just found about these Devil Dogs when I moved to New England. I tried one they aren't that good. You do need tons of milk.

Only if you dip them in chocolate sauce to cancel out the fat.

Check out the title of this Amazon page:

Amazon.com: Drake's Devil Dogs, 12.8 oz: Gourmet Food

More on Drake's and Devil Dogs:

http://www.drakescake.com/

Quote:
Drake’s® has been providing the Northeastern United States with delicious snack cakes for over a century. Newman E. Drake baked his first pound cake in Brooklyn in 1888 and sold them by the slice. Drake’s popularity grew and the Drake’s brand with it; supplying such favorites as Drake’s Coffee Cake, Devil Dogs, Yankee Doodles and Ring Dings.
They've since been bought up by Interstate Bakeries, which owns Hostess, Dolly Madison, Wonder Bread, JJ Nissen, et al.

They are good, but unlike Ring Dings, they don't have any chocolate covering, only dry chocolate cake, so they need a lot of milk (or Mountain Dew, in Artie's case - ughhh).
