Left of Center is definitely a channel I wish I could listen to more. When I first got Sirius I was loving the music channels- since Howard set up his channels though, I rarely listen to anything else. Hell, this week alone (with Howard gone) I found out that there are 2 other shows that I like and had no idea were even on Sirius. Thanks for the heads up about the other channels, sox!
Well, I'll have to try again later. I got 5 minutes into it, couldn't take it. I'm guessing this is mostly college rock type stuff, you know, whiney, tourtured, "look at me, I'm creative!" type music?
If somebody can explain it better, fire away, I'm curious, and will try again later..
EDIT: Oh, by the way, first post, I'm a new guy. Just signed up this weekend while trying to fix my widget.
I used to listen to LOC a lot, but the past few months I just haven't got into it as much. I don't know why, it just seems like the music isn't as good. It's still one of my presets though. I tried listening today and enjoyed some of the songs, but I thought there was a lot of crap too.
Liquid Todd's show used to be great when he mixed in some electronica/indie stuff, but now his show is almost all rock.
Well this channel has a really odd sound to it... last night listening I heard a song about Jessica Simpson or something. I actually kind of like it though, even though the musical styles seem all over the place.

I'm also rather open minded; I listen to almost any kind of music out there.
Pioneer inno-In house and all around
Pioneer DEH-P6800MP with GEX-P920 XM tuner and Stratus-Car
SIRIUS Stiletto 100-House and on the go
If somebody can explain it better, fire away, I'm curious, and will try again later..
I can't really "explain it better", as I don't think music tastes can really be explained. However, as a LoC fan, I can say that their music style varies a lot between DJ's. I've changed the channel many times in frustration, to tune in again later and listen for hours.
Try at a few different times of day.

My first ever, continuous block of listening (over an hour):
I found it kind of addictive. I didn't know any of the songs or any of the artists, and I didn't love a lot of it. But I didn't hate it either. I kept getting the feeling that I was one song away from being blown away. I liked that I fully wasn't expecting to know any of the songs. Some of the songs sounded pretty "garage". All in all, it was cool, and I'm looking forward to Blog Radio tonight, during Apprentice commercials. But, it hasn't taken a spot on my presets yet.
I listened to left of center while getting ready for work today. Definate indie music that I've never heard before with some songs being way eclectic but they did play planet telex by radiohead so that was pretty cool.
I listend to LoC for the first time today, and enjoyed it. I don't know if it will be my first listening choice when I have the radio on, but I can definately find room for it in my presets
I'm a huge LoC fan. It's my favorite station hands down, but it really has some drawbacks. They have a lot of great music on the playlists but a lot of absolute garbage. I'm not a music snob, but some of the music they play makes me want to throw my radio across the room.
Jake is a terrible DJ. He's boring and awkward. The Minister, Pappy, and Jenny are my favorites.
