Oasis' Noel Gallagher Hangs Out on BBC Radio 1 Wed 6/21 7:00 am ET
Put a microphone in front of Oasis' lead songwriter, guitarist, and sometimes-lead singer, Noel Gallagher and you never know what he’s going to say. So don’t miss his upcoming appearance on Chris Moyles’ morning show. Will he talk about the latest Oasis release, Don't Believe The Truth? Or will he tell us what the band have been up to since completing their mammoth world tour? You'll have to tune in to find out.
The Raconteurs In-Studio Performance Thurs 6/22 10:00 am ET
Jack White of The White Stripes is back with his new group The Raconteurs and they're heading overseas to the U.K. to hang out with BBC Radio 1's Jo Whiley! The band will perform tracks from their debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers, and sit and chat with Jo over a cup of tea.

Radio 1 is a great station, and I wish American Top 40 was this diverse. This is easily the best programmed station on Sirius (which is sad because Sirius doesn't actually program it). The dance music on the station is second to none, and is by far much better then anything Sirius actually offers.
The Brits are really different from us. Which is cool. I've started to listen to this channel before it was part of this. It is really cool. I've enjoyed a lot of thins that have come out of the UK. I wish the Top Gear TV show would do a radio show of some sort. Either on this channel or BBC News 1. You really get a different perspective from this channel.
I would never have listened to this station if not for Walk The Dog. I thought, oh great, government run radio from another country, this is going to be great .
Turns out, I like what I have heard of it so far. Had the good fortune to tune in during Chris Moyles' morning show. They are funny as hell. I like them much more than, uh, who is that guy on channel 100 again?
Is there something going on that they are broadcasting from Germany this week? (just kidding)
Probably a new preset, for the morning drive anyway.

The weekend line up at the evening hours is a blast. Can't wait for the live show from Ibiza in 2 months.
The first time I turned this channel on I got a song that I really didnt care for, but I toughed it out, and found that it has a really nice variety of music.
they talk A LOT. Every two or three songs the DJ's break for some bit or something...and that is thourghout the day (and especially weekend mornings and afternoons). They have a cool web site. Cool shows. And it is very hard to believe this is a government run radio station. they even play uncensored rap at night on Westwood's show. I guess the brit's aren't that worried about the n word getting blasted into Wales.
Even though it did only take a few posts for it to be brought up...it is the primary issue with this station. It's been on the air now about a year, and still no titles and artists.
for that reason alone I listen a lot loess than I would probably listen to a Upop, b/c at least then I will know what is playing.
I mean, that was the whole point of this station right. "New Music from the UK." The very fact that so much of it is new to us sort of demands title and artist info. right?

This channel use to be one of my presets when it first came out, but I don't listen to this channel much anymore. But this channel does have a good few songs, but I would only listen to it, if I can't find something else on some other channels.
It's too bad they don't have the ability to put the name of the artist and song on the scroll bar.
This is why I do not listen to this station, I want to know who I am listening to. If they can do it for Radio Disney why not BBC1?

One thing I found that I didn't care for so much: apparently the British really, really, really like the Black Eyed Peas. Chris Moyles played 2 of their songs within half an hour this morning, and I heard another one yesterday in the same spot. The show's not music-centered (centred?) but surely there must be a couple artists to play that they don't have to repeat artists during one show.
