Someone sends their unit in to www.shieldzone.com and has a full body protective shield made.
Please, whoever gets theirs first, send it in to these people. I love this thing on my S50. It has saved it from many a scratch.
If you are the first to send it to them they will get the proper dimensions for the rest of us. I believe they also do a free install on your device out of courtesy.
BTW, I do not work for them nor do I get any referral money from them. This is simply one of those great must haves for a portable device. I'm sure many would agree.
I agree dave, I have this protection on my S50, iPod and I had them send me a custom cut piece for my Inno since they don't actually support it due to the design. I was able to cover the display on it, since that is really all that is necessary. The shell on it is metal and scratch resistant. I have found Shield Zone to really stand behind their products and like you I highly recommend them.
Directed Electronics already has a "Protected Overlay" in the works for the Stiletto SL100 and SL10. It comes with two "Sheilds" for the front of the receiver.
In addition, the word is from SIRIUS and Directed almost all of the accessories and kits should be out around the same time as the receiver. We're all hoping that will be the case.
In addition to the "Protective Overlay"
The following cases will come out from Directed for the Stiletto.
-Executive Case (Large Leather Case with Zipper around to contain the Stiletto and Headphones and other small items)
-Leather Case (Nearly identical to the current Monster/Directed S50 case but made to fit the Stiletto)
-Silicon Case
-Ruggedized Case

OK Taylor, you've been holding out on us. So you know of cases for the Stiletto. Yes the video is a nice bone to throw, Any other information that you can throw at us, even for a day or so until Sirius asks you to take it down?
Glad to hear they are finally realzing they should provide protection for the display in the package. Not sure it would be compariable or as trusted as the Shield Zone, but certainly worth taking a look at when it arrives.
I am really excited to hear about the cases and the fact that they want to release all these accessories at the same time. I think this is a very, very smart move if they can in fact pull it off. I really liked the Leather Case, which was identical to the Monster Case for the S50, so having one of those for the Stiletto will be sweet. The silcon cases are nice too, I got one of those for the Creative Zen Vision:M that I purchased and I really liked the way it worked, only problem was it didn't fit in the cradle while on and taking it off and putting it on was a pain.
Right now I just hope they manage to pull off getting both home and car kits on the shevles at the same time the Stiletto is released. The cases are important, but the next thing I'd like to see hit the shelves in short order would be the Boombox(powered speaker system). Looking at the specs on that via the TSS web site, it looks darn sweet and like it will have really decent sound.
Accessories are important, just look at the 3rd party market for iPods. The one thing that caused me to return my Creative Zen Vision:M was the total lack of accessories. Creative kills themselves because of this and in fact SanDisk which really just got into the MP3 Player market has already taken the number 2 spot in the MP3 Player market... why? Because they have accessories for their Players and started a program called Made for Sansu, much like Apple's Made for iPod program. The key, a standardized connector for current and future players. (Which SIRIUS has now done) The fact that they (Sandisk) under sold everyone also helped, but when you make the memory, you can charge a lot less for it in your MP3 Players.
I have an Invisible Shield for my S50 and iPod and I love it...it keeps my devices looking brand new all the time without having to cover it up with something that prevents you from admiring it or showing it off to people.

As soon as I get my SL100 I will be sending it to them to get the shield on it. I have the shield on one of my S50s and I wish I had it on my second one but I don't feel like being without it right now. I actually sent in my S50 for them to get the correct dimensions for the full protector so they installed it for me for free and they also sent me an additional one for my second S50 but I gave that to somebody on this forum. That was my first dealings with this company and they were extremely helpful so they will get more business from me!
yea i just took my s50 out of its speck case today for like the first time in months. i forgot how cool it looked without the case. i mean i love my case cause it keeps it so well protected from drops and all that but i can see how you all dig that shieldzone thing.
Wow - i never heard of the sheildzone thing until this post!! Awesome. I think i would like one of those for my ipod nano. I am assuming by reading this thread, that you send it to them, and they cover it?
Or you can do the cover yourself and save on shipping.
It's a must have for any pretty electronics that you want protected. I have a full cover on my black iPod and it looks brand new to this day I don't even have a case for it. I sent the Ipod out cause it was a full wrap but I did my s-50 on the front screen myself.

If you go to their website they have a list of devices that they cover. I just looked and they have "fullbody iPod Nano" cover.
I believe you have 2 choices for installing. You can send it to them and they will install(I believe for a fee) or they can send you the cover and you can do it yourself.
I generally opt for the free shipping(no solution sent) and do the install myself. You can create your own solution with 1 drop of soap to an amount of water(can't remember). I like to do it this way because I get much more solution so I can get the film on the unit properly. Then I let it dry for 24 hours.
To use your device with no bulky cover is great! I just make sure I don't drop it because this does not protect against shock type damage. Some people would recommend the shield along with a protective cover which is probably the best non-bulky protection you'll get for any device.
Wow - I had no idea this thing even existed. I bought an ipod nano, and before it even came out of the box, I bought an iskins for it and have had it covered ever since. I like it and it adds good protection, but it is quite bulky...
I think i would like something like this. I am a bit nervous of the self instal though...is it very difficult to do for a full body nano cover?? or would it be best to send to them to do?

I would say it requires a tad bit of skill. If you use plenty of water it's fairly forgiving. While it's wet you can slide the plastic around until it's in the right place. Then if you wait a bit it will get tacky and become more difficult to move around. If you peel it back off before it gets too tacky you can rewet and get it in the right place. This is why I say the more solution you have the better.
The first time you do this you will think you can't do it. With a bit of patience you will find it can be done. I've done 3 devices so far and all of them ended up looking really good.
