Questions for the Sirius Rep about the Stiletto

I've heard that some of the Sirius Sales reps have the Stiletto's in their possession and are the source to getting questions answered.

It might be nice to post these questions and maybe someone at Sirius or Someone who has access to the sales rep's asks them.

Here are my questions to start.

1. I heard that the Stiletto's firmware is based off the S50's. Does it share other features of the s50? i.e. 3 finger salute sequence for reset, or Video Memory (for custom bitmaps)

2. Are there any plans to expand the memory via memory card in the dock?

3. I’ve read, it connects with a new version of MSS. Is this the same version we have now or an updated version. Where is the USB connection on the Stiletto? Does the USB port exist on the Home Dock or via cable through the bottom of the Stiletto, or both?

4. With the two batteries you get 6 hours of play for live reception, 4+2. What happens to radio when you are swapping the batteries out. Does it shutdown? If you do it quick does it have some ability to stay on during a quick swap?

5. What tools/utilities are included in the setup/configuration menus? Some in the past have been:
1. ability to reformat flash (3 finger)
2. ability to reset channel files
3. download factory reset files
4. Antenna Aiming

Is there anything new or improved?

Ok that's my list to start, I'm sure I'll have more at work today and I'll try to keep this list going with questions. Maybe someone who has access to Sirius could ask these questions and post or even PM me answers.

We really need a "Deep Throat" guy from Sirius to give us answers.

If this is in fact true, I am sure these reps signed a non-disclosure agreement. If they are found to be answering questions, they won't have a job for long. So my suggestion is to tread lightly and if you do get information, make sure you don't post this person name in any way shape or form.

I think all this information will come out in due time, we just have to be a bit patient.

I just don't want to see anyone get fired over something like this. YES!! It has happened in the past.

I don't think the Stilettos firmware is based off the S50. I'm not 100% but it's a new program.

In the menu scrolling, it looks nothing like the S50. The Channel Bumpers and Images are the Same, but that's about it.

Again, not completely sure, (in the beta version I saw, it was in the dock) but hopefully both.

Think about removing the power plug from your computer. It's that.
