Not sure if anyone else has this info, and I posted this in the wrong place earlier, but here goes:
Ok, so I had to call Sirius warranty repair to fix one of my Starmate Replays yesterday.
After getting all of my warranty info, the lady asked me if I needed anything else. I said, "Sure...if you can tell me when the Stiletto comes out!"
I didn't expect an answer, but she said, "Sure!" She had already preordered hers, so she was really excited about it as well. When I told her that I had heard preorders had been stopped, she put me on hold and went to check (since she had a personal interest in this news as well). She confirmed that Sirius had halted preorders due to this reason:
The Stiletto is NOT a Sirius product, but a third-party product. This third-party manufacturer made a boo-boo and started promoting the Stiletto before Sirius was ready for it to go out.
Interesting that Stern mentioned it on the show by the Stiletto name. You would think if unauthorized pre-orders were taking place that Sirius would not want anyone within the company to promote the product quite yet.
He hasn't mentioned it since so maybe he was told to quit talking about it.
Ug, I always hate answering questions like this because I'm not a sports fan in the slightest. Not even one sport catches my interest. Can you believe that? I guess you could say I'm a geek at heart because computers and gadgets seem to be my primary interests. Pretty sad huh?
Sorry, didn't mean to hit a sore subject. Just wondering since you're there with The Big House, and that's one of the big stadiums that I need to add to my list!

The Big House is awesome. I used to go to High School Kiddie corner from it. On friday afternoons the parking lot would fill up with RVs from Michigan fans from all over and take over the lot. It's such great energy there. I went to a Michigan vs Wisconsin game about 5 years ago and it was in the top 5 attendance games ever for the stadium. Ann Arbor is one of my favorite places.
I used to go to High School Kiddie corner from it.
My son wants to go to Pioneer but he goes to Huron. He's the complete opposite of me cuz he loves sports and hates computers. He says "the scouts" are at Pioneer more than Huron so that's why he wants to go there. I don't know if that's true or not.
BTW, my wife and son are both Ohio State fans! Good thing I don't care about sports because that would make this an even crazier house!
