I have my own thoughts on Daimler Chrysler's not implementing artist/text data. Pure stupidity.

Apparently their headunits come with the RDS option (FM text data), but not Sirius metadata.

I expect this to change in 2004 models. BMW and Ford both support artist/title data, they get kudos because it's a major selling feature in my eyes.

I think you mean in 2005 models. The 2004 models have mostly been out since last fall....

Are you telling me it doesn't work for '04 models either?!? What a sham.

This ranks up there with Kenwood one line headunits not scrolling artist/title.

I guess I do not understand what it takes to make the Mopar radio capable of showing the Sirius information. Does the radio need an extra chip or something or is the Radio not receiving the information from the Mopar Sirius receiver?

If Chrysler adds it later, will I need to get an updated Mopar radio at that time?

Problem is the lead time with an Auto MFG is huge, and that means it takes them years to get somthing new to market. It is a shame that the Pacifica does not use the RB1 radio.

If you want some good reading on Chrysler's Nav Systems, go to www.wjjeep.com

How do you like the Pacifica, they sure look nice.

I only drove it about 2 miles so far. It has a great interior and we got most available options. It is really my wifes car since I commute on a train each day. She absolutely loves it. Hopefully, this weekend I will be able to take it on the highway.

I played with the Navigation System a little. It looks pretty easy to use. Thanks for the link. I will check it out.

The reason why Pacifica doesn't use the RB1 radio is that Pacifica's navigation system is in the instrument cluster.

I called chrysler and sent them an email also. U should do the same, its very misleading to tell customers that ur car is satellite ready and not imform them of options that come with satellite that are not available. Its not the dealers fault its chrysler
