Help:Editing Pages
From Knowledge Base
There are two ways to edit an existing page: the first is you can either go to the 'edit' button at the top of every page to edit the entire page. If you wanted to edit any of the text on the page, you would go there, and it is the only place one can edit text in this top area.

Editing a single section
To edit a single section, you can click on the edit button to the right of the section header. No matter which method you pick, it will take you to a text box containing the text you selected(either a full page or just a single section). From there you can add or change what you need.
Editing Courtesy
- Any time you edit a page, please add a short comment in the "Summary" field about the change you made. This makes it easier for others to see what has changed. Also, if revisions are labeled correctly, we are better able to identify Wiki vandalism from legitimate contributions.
- Document reasons for 'big' changes on the Talk pages.
- Don't be offended if your page is added to, revised or edited for style and syntax. Revision makes us all better writers, and makes our articles more useful.
- If you find yourself wanting to change an entry back to an earlier revision, ask yourself if the current version had a useful purpose, and whether it really is necessary to change it back.
- If you see that an editor is making alot of mistakes or formatting errors, give them a heads up via their User Talk page.
Minor edits
If you are just changing grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc., click on the "this is a minor edit" check mark at the bottom of the editing page. On a page's history or the KB's recent changes page, you can choose not to see these minor edits, making it easier to look at edits that change facts or add content.
Summarize the editing
If you are adding an edit, below the editing text box there is a place to put in the summary of your edit. Keep the summary easy to understand, such as 'changed grammar' 'added features section' or 'removed advertisement'.
