Pat St. John
From Knowledge Base
DJ on: 60s Vibrations Weekdays 6AM-12PM ET; Weekends 9AM-12PM ET
DJ on: The Vault Weekdays 12PM-6PM ET
He's a lifelong fan -- and a walking encyclopedia -- of rock and roll. He got his first 45rpm when he was 6 years old: "Great Balls Of Fire" by Jerry Lee Lewis. He also vividly remembers his first concert experience: "The Beatles: September 6, 1964, Olympia Stadium in Detroit." Pat got his start as a DJ when he was just 16, and in all his years on the air, he's never lost his passion: his love for the music is evident whenever he cracks the mic.
Pat St. John has interviewed members of The Beatles, The Stones and The Who. He's known Bob Seger for 35 years. Gregg Allman's called Pat to play him tracks before they're even mixed. He's driven Eric Burdon of The Animals to a meeting where he signed a new record deal. He knows the players and they know him. When he's telling you about the songs you're hearing on The Vault, you know you're getting the real deal, because Pat lives and breathes this music.
