Default Is there any way to increase its range?

Like maybe attach it to a metal surface or inside a pie plate or something pointed at the transmitter. In one situation I use it in, an extra 1-3 feet of range would make it perfect.

Beta tested the never-released SRP2002, which I still have (It still gets programming but I am not charged for it!)

Default

I know this thread is a bit old but figured maybe some of you still watching. couple questions.

1. Will the signal of the repeater go through walls or tinted windows of an office building? In my office its hard to get FM radio signals so I wonder if I pull my car up to the window with the reapeter will it make it to my desk 50-75 feet away?

2. What stores sell these units where I can try using it and if doesn't work I can return it without loosing shipping fees.

Default Ship Installation

The transmitter is mounted to a port hole on the Bridge. The glass is polarized. Receivers three decks down receive just fine but the receivers have to be mounted to the port hole. The signal doesn't penetrate the steel decks but rather goes outside the ship.
