Default The Big 80's playlist

I 've been listening to the big 80's since I first got sirius 2 and a half years ago and just recently noticed the channel playing more songs from the early 80's, 85 and earlier, then late 80's. I've been listening for the past 30 mins now, and only 2 songs were from the late 80's and they were both from 1987. What is up with that. I still enjoy the station alot but would like to hear the whole decade represented evenly.

2 sirius PNP units a Orbiter Reciver with Boombox & a XACT XTR1 unit with the Power Pod

Life without Sirus would Majorly suck

I think most of the music that sort of "defines" the '80s sound came out in the early to middle part of the decade. I'd say the four years from '82 to '85. And it was all due to the influence of MTV. That's when the videos were at their peak, in terms of pop culture influence. So I think the '80s channel is right to focus mostly on those four years, while still providing some songs from '80-'81 and from '86-'89.
