Default S50 Warranty Claim?? Problem Resolved....

I have had a S50 warranty claim for months on end and it is coming to an end. All you have to do is call warranty services at 866-257-7726 and tell them you have a warranty claim with the S50. You have 2 options. You can give them your credit card number and they will send out a new S50 within 48 hours and then you have 30 days to send back the old one or your card will be charged. Or you can just wait in the next couple of months to get yours in the mail. I decided to give my card number and get mine next week. I also asked if the new S50 unit I was getting had the FM transmitter fix. The representative asked her supervisor and she replied back with yes. She also transferred me to customer service to get my account credited for the time I was without Sirius so when my S50 comes next week I will have it credited already. After months of BS, I finally feel like I am getting somewhere.

could you explain why you have a warranty claim, how you make one, and within what time frame you need to? thank you.

S50 product support (800)869-5364

S50 warranty issues (866) 257-7726

You will need your account # and SID # (on radio via menu). If you have problems with your S50 (like most of us), start by calling product support and get a claim#. They may decide to send you a new radio, and then you send them the old (defective) one back.

The replacement S50 they sent me in May was dead on arrival, and I just got fed up with waiting and I went to Best Buy today with my original receipt (from last December) and exchanged it for a Stiletto 100. I did NOT have an extended protection plan!!

Wow you did that with a reciept from last december.........I got mine at PC richards maybe i will try that or maybe i will try calling and have them send me a new one and send the old one back.....but i thought the problem was that we have to wait so long because they are on back order.........so the person that sugested this above let me know if you get your new radio (s50)

and i see you are from chicago IL........are you familiar with Marty Casey and lovehammers...they are from chicago. I was just there to see them in Oct. if not check them out lovehammers.com they are truley a real raw rock band ....phenominal!!!!!!!!

DEI's supplier just now started remaking the S50, most bestbuys have about 12 on order, and you can bet most of those will be warranty swaps. My store finally got the Stilletto in, I'll be switching soon as I have the cash, and deinstall everything.

Yes, I replaced my S50 a week ago at Best Buy with a receipt from last December (and NO extended protection plan!) for a new Stiletto 100. I did get an extended protection plan for the SL100. The return counter clerk can enter a code into the Best Buy computer which indicates it is an exchange based on the manufacturer's warranty, which is valid for one year from date of purchase on Sirius hardware (with original receipt). So it is the same as sending it directly back to Sirius, but without having to deal with their pathetic customer support center.

The Stiletto 100 is much better so far than the S50. Firstly, all features work exactly as advertised. I can get satellite in an office building when near a window. I connected to my wireless router and can listen to internet radio anywhere in my house (including the basement!). The scroll wheel and new screen software interface is very cool and easier to use. I plan on getting a car kit soon, plus lots of other accessories are about to come out.

myobsession, I have not seen the Lovehammers live yet, but I have heard them online. I saw RockStar SuperNova and thought Marty rocked!
