Default Stiletto FW button issues

Has anyone had any issues with the fast forward or skip button. I cannot ffw or skip recorded material or navigate through the menus with the ffw button. It worked fine yesterday and now i got nothing, i mean i have owned this thing for all of two days so i would expect it to break already.

Never had an issue and haven't heard of this one before. Is it just the recorded stuff? Can you still navigate through the menu?

Just keep monitoring it... if you continue to have sporadic problem with it, I'd return it for an exchange if you are within your original 30 days or have an extended warranty. If not, you'll be stuck with dealing with Sirius Warranty Exchange.

I've personally never had any problems with mine FF.

I seem to have the same problem and I think I figured out what is going on. OP feel free to correct me and clarify if your situation is different.

The first recordings I dropped in my library were talk show recordings I had in my pc. Once they begin playing, in order to FF through them you have to leave the FF button pressed, which is slow when you are looking for something specific in a 1 & plus hour show. If you press the FF button just once, the Stiletto then skips to the next title in the library, which is annoying if that is not your intention. The same thing happens with the songs that have been "loved". If I press the FF button once during a song the Stiletto skips to the next title in the library, in order to go to a specific point of the song you have to leave the FF button pressed which is slow, but in this case no big deal because we are talking about a 4 minute song.

Now, with the talk programming I have recorded with my Stiletto there are no issues. When I press FF once the Stiletto skips to the next commercial or segment just as if it was buffered for an hour and you are using its replay feautures.

My belief of what is going on is that the Stiletto by default skips to the next title when the FF button is pressed while playing a song and considers any mp3 a song as well. Like I said, this is fine with a 4 or 5 minute song but not with a long mp3 file. Obviously, on an mp3 that has been put in the library the Stiletto can't tell the difference where the segments and commercials begin and end. But one thing they can do is perhaps make the Stiletto automatically recognize if an mp3 is longer than 10 minutes and when playing that file, make it skip in 5 minute blocks every time the FF button is pressed once. That way it will be easier to look for specific things in a long recording

If this is the case for everyone, I'm sure it would be easy to address with a fimware upgrade.
