I have only been listening to Bubba for about a month now(the same amount of time i've had sirius) and his show is funny as hell. Nothing against the Norhteast, but it is nice to hear a show that is based somewhere else so we in the south have a show that we can relate to a bit more. Howard is still the King, but Bubba is a great compliment show and getting better each time I hear it.

This can be the second wave of people coming over to Sirius. I know that there are so many arguments against it (Howard wouldn't allow it, Bubba is too raunchy, etc...), but doesn't it kind of make sense from a business point of view?
If Bubba does in fact do a deal with Cox, he can kiss my ass good bye. I'll still keep Sirius, but I won't listen to Bubba. He'd be nothing more than a sell-out IMO. All this talk about the freedom he has on "un-fucked, uncensored radio" and how much he loves it at Sirius, just to turn back to get a paycheck? I'd say "fuck this its bullshit, I'm outta here...."

I still don't like the show and think it would have been better if they signed Bonaduce and dropped Bubba, but to each their own. With NASCAR coming over it might be better for Sirius to have guys like Bubba.

I understand the story like this: Bonaduce was offered a gig, but Howard wanted him to do it from New York. Danny refused to move his family, no hard feelings. Can anyone confirm this?

I find myself listening to Bubba now and again and I always feel entertained. I think its funny that hes a redneck. Whats the deal with him and Cox? Ive never heard of Cox radio. Is it related to Cox Communications or am I way off?

Maybe Howard will reconsider if that is the case, Bonaduce would be a great show!

Danny did two weeks of live shows back when Howard started and there was talk of him staying on. The show he did was killer and I too would love to see him come aboard...don't know why it did not work out I did here him say on his sirius show he would move to new york in a heartbeat....but ya never know with him...he is the loosest of cannons!
Bubba was seen coming from the Cox building in Florida about a month ago...that's what started all the rumers of him "goin terrestrall"

Danny wanted the amount of money that was fair. I am guessing that The HOWARD Channels had no money in their budget. (I wonder why??)

^^^^^^Hmm, sounds like someone has nothing better to do than go around spreading rumors and starting lies, wonder where he learned that from?

I think your right on about the money issue
And I could be readin way to much into this but I also think sirius would have found the money if Howard was in dannys corner a bit more....I think howard is kinda intimidated by danny a little...I mean danny comes to sirius with a lot of terr. Experience and imo his shows were better than bubbas (at the time) and definitly farrell...I remember danny sayin one day when howard asked him how he would prepare for his show that day that he would not prepare at all...that got a cool response from howard and it just seemed to me as a listener that howasd wasn't really behind a Bounoduce show....I even remember bubba sayin somthin like "danny thinks he's gonna come in and be howards #2....I'm howards # 2 man"
Its really a shame I coulda been a great show
I also heard that o&a wanted him on xm...

I really enjoy Bubba's show these days. Once you get to know the characters and their personalities, their ballbusting is really entertaining. The bits they do are pretty brutal. I laugh every time at Clem's Creek. "Ohhh Hoody! Ohhh Brother!" Heather: "When do I get to join in?"

The Brent Hadley jingles and all the heat they give him are great. I don't get to hear him live but have found myself listening to his replay at 10PM more than watching TV.

I agree that Bubba grows on you...there were times in the past when I'd tune in, really WANT to like the show and didn't. Today I caught a good portion of a replay and really liked what I heard. The parodies and Ned calls are great...I heard a parody of Adam Sandler's "Thanksgiving Song" and it sounded just like the Sandler song only much funnier. "Give Bubba another chance!"

In my opinion Sirius dodged a bullet with Bonadouche. I remember that answer and how Howard sort of recoiled on the air. At the beginning Howard wanted Adam, but the Ace man wanted real money, perhaps Bubba type of money, who knows? I kind of hope that if Adam's show is cancelled that Howard can scoop him up. I would rather have Adam's show on in Bubba's spot. It would work for Adam, too. He could still do the show from LA starting at 10:00 west coast time.

That'll never happen, but that would be the best. Besides, when Howard does finally punch the clock for the last time it would be nice to have Adam in the waiting room.
